Ignis is walking forward slowly, limping.
Ignis: "Argh... Is this the end... of lovable Ignis? Why?" Leona: "You're no warrior. You qualify as a spectator..." Ignis: "INSOLENCE!" "SILENCE!" "Are you saying I'm not worthy to be a god?"
Ignis puts his hands on two column-like panels, activating what seems to be a self-destruct mechanism. The spaceship ignites from the heat.
Ralf: "Hey! What've you done?!"
Ignis: "If these humans do not desire the advent of a new god... then I shall become a demon! All will return to nothing!"
Leona: "He's going to blow us up!"
The door closes, shutting out all light.
Ralf: "Stop, you crazy megalomaniac!"
The outside of the spaceship starts to crumble from the intense heat. It is heading back towards Earth.
"Can you do it?"
"Yes. I believe so..."
Only darkness follows.
Heidern: "Ralf? Status report!"
Ralf: "Yes, sir! All operational."
The spaceship splashed into an ocean. We see the shadows of the Ikari Team on a high cliff, overlooking the ocean.
Clark: "We're lucky to be alive, sir."
Ralf: "Can it, Clark! Don't jinx us!"
Heidern gives a report in a darkened room. As he speaks, several slides are displayed on a screen behind him.
Heidern: "Luckily, NEST's HQ didn't blow up and is still intact. For the countries in its thrall, NEST's fall is good news. NEST's disappearance quickly ended the organization. A threat to world peace, quashed. The NESTS case, closed."

Ralf and Clark are gathered around a campfire, during nighttime.
Ralf: "Right after NESTS... another mission?"
Clark: "Heidern's a slave driver, eh?"
Leona approaches them, with something in her hand.
Leona: "Hmm... A letter from Heidern."
Ralf: "Say what?"
Ralf takes and opens the letter.
Ralf: "Hmph. That silly sadist doesn't even tell us where he is."
Leona: "...Oh, you love it..."
We see a picture of Whip and Kula in everyday clothes, in what looks like a city street, playfully feeding each other ice cream.
Clark: "Well, it's all worth it."
Ralf: "Yup! We're in it for war!"
