Creating Backups of XBox games
Software needed for this: FlashFXP (or another FTP Client)
xIso
So you have gone to all the trouble of installing a mod chip to play backups of
games, so how do you go about backing up one of your originals.
1) Boot up the XBox to the EvoX dashboard
2) Fire up FlashFXP and connect to your Xbox
3) Browse in FlashFXP to the D Drive of the XBox in the right hand plane
4) Select everything that is on the D Drive (The D Drive is your XBox DVD-Drive)
5) Transfer all the selected files to your computers HDD
6) When this is complete (may take a while as XBox games can be large) fire up
xISO
7) Select to make an xISO
8) Browse to the files you have just copied onto your HDD
9) Give it a name and xISO will create a *.iso than can then be burnt back to a
blank DVD
The thing I haven’t covered here is how to reduce the size of an XBox game so
that it will fit on a CD-RW (700mb), the reason for that is that I haven’t a
clue how to do it ;-) . If anyone knows please get in touch.
