Band 6 was formed in 1986, and with it�s endorsement by the Monkees themselves it became the UK�s Official Fan Club for the Monkees.

It started in a small way with only a handful of members. Once the 1989 UK Tour was underway new members joined daily.

As soon as news broke that The Monkees would tour the UK again in 1997, mail came rolling in and at the height of the 1997 tour the membership rose to almost 2,000.

BAND 6 publishes a quarterly newsletter in March, June, September and December. Each has 36-40 pages of news, reviews, pictures etc. + lots more. Currently membership stands at almost 1,000 and is growing daily. Ages of members range from 8 years to 80 years.
