THE NOTHING

What was it, before it came?
Choosing stars to descend it's flames.
It employed more chaos within one doom.
We're lacking the sun, let alone the moon.
No light stirs here in corners of my mind.
I allow this drama to fill me with it's crime.

A THOUGHT

A crackling bolt of energy, pristine and pure
Traveling through my brain, its destination unsure
It pulses green with envy and blue with determination
Then yellow with caution and then a touch of white consideration
Yet the red glow of passion is the strongest and easiest to see
Have all blended together in an inspirational idea granted to me
While bouncing around inside my brain for many countless years
Who knows its influences upon my many hopes, dreams and fears
So too has it been changed by the things in life I have come to know
For friends and family, fun and woe, have all added to its bright glow
With each person who reads this poem and on your thoughts it played
You too have added to its brilliance and ensured it will never fade

BLINK

blink away the darkness
look past the void of seeming endlessness
to the bursting rainbow of colors
in this palate called our galaxy
each star merely a spec
though creating images
filling hearts with anticipation
eternal dreams visualized by lovers
grasping each beacon of light
filling it with their wishes
bask in the splendor
perhaps your wish will be chosen
you too can make peace within yourself

EARTH CHILD

The essence of life pours forth
An extension of Mother Earth
As her hand tips in the heavens
And the World experiences birth

SOLAR BIRTH

In a brilliant burst of color
All shades of the rainbow
The birth of a sun exploding
Stretching among the stars

The shining new sun
It's warmth reaches out
It's solar sunbeams
Will always win out

It's light spreads across the void
Reaching ever outward
To touch a bright new world
As the solar winds move onward

The agony of the solar birth
What splendor it does hold
Promises of new life
Stories yet untold

STAR BURST
(dedicated to my soul mate, Star Burst of Sun)

She floats alone in outer space
through lonely nights she waits
with silver glow upon her face
her heart anticipates

A million sisters swirl around
like her they faintly glow
they wait for that which few have found
and long to let it show

She waits, she weeps, oh, how she yearns
she does not ask for much
star sisters tell her nova burns
she longs to feel His touch

The ages slowly drifted by
‘twas time to let it go
resigned to let the love dream die
His touch to never know

Deep within her frozen heart
begins a tiny glow
so faint she barely feels it start
nor hears the voice so low

The glow becomes a candle flame
flame becomes a fire
voice rumbles low then booms her name
Star melts into desire

I choose thee for my special star
I thy Casanova
Thy beauty shall expand afar
Thee now are supernova

A brilliant burst of blinding lights
illuminates the Star
her soul soars to the highest heights
she strobes irregular

She IS the Supernovae Star
in all the galaxy
she outshines all both near and far
when Star Burst shines for me

CELESTIAL ORCHESTRA

I take my place, fifth row center
no bad seats in this hemisphere
get comfortable program has started
eons ago amid a whorl of conflagration a Godly overseer

strings in all their grandeur
Violin bass viola and cello
a lush green meadow perfectly placed
equally at home allegro con brio or pizzicato

brass O the splendid blending mellow
trumpet trombone French horn and tuba
soft yellow shimmering pink sensuous green a solo
sonata imbedded virtuoso scherzo a celestial fantasia

woodwinds soft smooth enhancing mingling
clarinet bassoon flute saxophone oboe
voluptuous white yellow pink uniting the whole
no tarantella here smooth andante then lively con fuoco

percussion's unpitched boom clang tinkle
triangle drum cymbal maraca castenet bell timpani
chaos black disordered pinks threads to brass tied to strings
as needed no motif too late for prelude too early for finale

the whole is one, smooth polished counterbalanced
senseless time and space what is an hour an area
my eyes imbibe in the luxuriant cacophony of color
my heart hears that inner symphony concerto or aria

as i leave my seat for the night
i take with me the feeling of goodness
the world is right peace love and rejoice
head on pillow pleasant dreams await ah tomorrow sweetness

DANGEROUS TRUTH

The danger lies in the darkness
tunnels turning to deeper depths
the light sprinkles faintly
and i walk amidst the dream
the danger lies in the darkness
twirling light caught tenuously
and then is forgotten from ages
upon ages before
remembering how i took the time to learn
and then released yet again
to stumble once more the danger of the darkness
is the tunnel of not knowing
and a path not yet tread the light absorbs the memory
and i live the truth
once more...
