TRANSITION
This is the land of in-between
not reality and yet not dream.
For journeying souls pass by
this way
but not a one has come to stay.
The eagle perched upon his bough
keeps vigil for the lost souls
now.
With total knowledge and eyes
so keen
each in their passing by him
is seen.
This is the land where pain is
erased
where one may view the obstacles
one faced.
Remembered dreams now turn to
truth.
nothing to gain and nothing
to lose.
An ending and beginning found
a different plane's existence
No will to choose a course or
path
this is the land's insistence.
From here they travel to the
light
free from earthly needs
caretakers of the greatest truth
for all eternity.

IN ANOTHER LAND
Listen my friends, a story I'll
tell
Of a long lovely visit, a journey
unplanned,
an everlasting voyage to a strange
other land.
Myriads of people walking alone.
Where do they come from; why
do they roam?
I noticed a lone man, his feet
planted still.
I queried he why, he answered
me softly
his voice like a chill.
"I and the others are trembling
and scared.
Each step that we take , the
ground it does shake".
He turned to me slowly, his voice
like a vow
"I've answered your question
, please answer mine now.
Why sir, are your eyes so bright
and so clear
where mine and the others, so
full of fear?
I've only seen one with eyes
such as yours
A fair lovely maiden with butterfly
wings.
How do you dance when we barely
can walk?
Come on dear sir, tell me ,
please talk."
I asked him her name, he spoke
to me thus
He said it was LinDoug
I said It was us.
You've only met one sir, we've
felt that earth move
The trembling, the shaking that
all of you fear
Is a lovely experience when
shared with one dear
Holding and loving in the land
of the lost
sometimes a huge price
but well worth the cost.

WHERE ANIMALS SPEAK
In another land where animals
speak
The eagle opens its powerful
beak
Cloaked in a haze this land
is free
Of manmade hate and misery
Veiled by the vines of time
Locked away as if a crime
This world is seen by but a
few
While the rest have not a clue
To hear what the animals have
to say
You must listen in a special
way
Walk with nature hand in hand
Allow your thoughts to not be
banned
With an open heart and mind
You'll be surprised at what
you find
When you see what inward lies
Behind an animal's soulful eyes
You will know the truth, at
last
About this world and its past
For the animals are here, you
see
To guide our spirits and set
them free
So treat the animals with love
and care
Their gift to us is something
rare
Next time when an animal calls
Let down those manmade walls
Invite the animal's voice inside
Find a new friend in which to
confide

ENCHANTED FOREST
From the enchanted forest
Comes the cry of an eagle
As it sits upon the branch
Of a tree that twists and turns
Awaking all that lives there
The gnomes who take shelter
Within the enchanted trees
The fairies that hide amid the
fallen leaves
Until the eagle cries
Signaling that man is gone
Now they can run and play again
In their lovely land
Playing hide and go seek
Amongst themselves
Laughing merrily all through
the day
Until the eagle cries once more
As night begins to fall
To tell them that it's no longer
safe
Into hiding they must go
Hidden from man's first glance
All that he sees is dead
But they are there
If you just look closely
As the grass and branches sway
With the winds gentle breeze
For an instant they are uncovered
But for now they remain hidden
They will come out again
Because this is their world
Adding a bit of magic
To this dead but enchanted forest

WINDOW IN MY MIND
While searching for a misplaced
thought I could not find
I found myself at a strange
unopened window in my mind
Like through the looking glass
this window to another land
Reflecting an image of savagery
too cruel for me to stand
Fear I now this new found darkness
hiding inside of me
Safely locked away yet I know
not what will act as key
Then open the window in my mind
to free the savage beast
Not knowing the outcome to me
should it ever be released
Thin this pane of mental glass
restraining the anger and rage
Now and forever must I keep
this thought in its mental cage
But would I be more than I am
should it ever be incorporated
Trapped inside I will never
know maybe it should be liberated
Just think of all the possibilities
that might be awaiting me
The power the passion the pleasures
that I have yet to see
How could I have ever thought
myself a beast locked within
When the monster was holding
me trapped but never again
