EQUALLY MEASURED TIME

An offering, held by a silent truth.
A display of consent, for all to see.
A gift of conscious for all to receive.
Within this transparent covering,
Is preserved my last garden of life.
Three objects I so rightfully earned

A Tree...
Branches covered in shade, to cool summer's sun.
Its strong roots placed with intent,
To harbor thyself from gailing winds.
In winter's grip, it becomes my stark nakedness,
A reminder, there comes a time I can not hide.
It is a shelter beon human longevity
for a time shall come,
I will become its nourishment

A Stone...
To mark my never ending stay
to be etched with my last plausible stand
A name spoken, to fade to unknown
A time dated, soon to be forgotten
A reason why one, as I lived
Never to be asked
This stone is to withstand,
...what I can no longer

Soil...
A final blanket, to cover me.
To reclam me from whense I came
Silent rest, peacefull sanity it holds
Soil to have placed flowers wither away
Ground for loved ones,so said
To kneel upon in what seems remorse
A sponge to envelope, so few fallen tears
Soil,, to create someone new.

No.. amount of fame
No.. account of riches
No.. lack of wants, nor its desires
No.. less we shall be of each other
This gift devinlly offered
Will create us all equal
It is just a matter of how,
A mere simple measure of time
...Thy own gift, is offered to thee

UNTITLED

The children weep
Raindrops falling
From their eyes
So as not to break

Flooding lands far and wide
With sad smiles
And tales of their sorrow
Until no more is seen
But these tears
Cried by weeping children

Each inch of this ocean
Holds the fear and pain
Which overcame a child
The screamfilled nights
That haunt their memory
The unwanted thoughts
Inflicted by society

Sweet victims
Of this neverending game
That what we call life
Weeping their tales of woe
For the world to drown in
Just as it has done to them

Only one dry spot remains
Held within a crystal ball
Fragile in every sense of the word
Gentle hands uplift it
In fear of shattering the glass
That holds the one oasis of peace

None shall ever enter this world
Encaged within itself
Peace will be no man's posession
And peace will be no more

Children weep
Determined to make us see
That they too are humans
They may not have a voice
But they too, can cry

A MERE GIFT

perfection
the calming of the ocean
the quiet solitude
absence

wrapped as a token
held out for all or only me
a place to call home
ours spirits shall be free

security
being held
feeling safe
someone else takes control

safe in a bubble
nothing can harm
thoughts can abound
no other earthly beings
not a soul around

here is the world
a gift just a small token
taken for granted
filled with the children
born now planted

placed here for their moment
in time
seeking
learning
discovering their mind
hoping
wishing
for things to improve
learning to protect it
they must
there is no place to move

what will take place now
as we take all the resources
abuse nature along
with all the sources
will our children's children
know what was here
or will we wind up in a bubble
living in fear?

THE GIFT

Lost in a sea of loneliness
adrift within despair,
endlessly searching.
Wanting, hoping, dreaming
Then from out of thin air
the world you present to me.
In precious vulnerability
you open your soul
empty your heart at my feet
This precious gift,
given so sincere
becomes our world to share.

PRESERVATION OF NATURE

Is it the mighty hand of the Great Spirit
That holds this fragile sphere?
Preserving the remnants of nature
Within his protective grasp.

Recount the words of the great
Chief's of the Six Nations.
Their spirits bear witness
To the destruction of our land.

Chief Cornplanter and Handsome Lake did warn,
And now we are accountable,
To the next seven generations.
We are the keepers of the future.

Upon each of us lies the burden
Of the care of this planet.
Guard each tree, each animal, each blade of grass
For they are the inheritance of our children.

THE SOURCE OF LIFE

Nurtured by water since the beginning of time
Without it the world would be a desert barren of life
A necessity for all living things
It cuts through the land like a carving knife
Shaping the land on which we live
And washing the earth clean
As important to life now
As it has ever been

THE SPHERE

The sphere of your love
feels fragile in my hand.
I see you blossom, isolated;
as if surrounded by the vastness of the sea.

Yet safe: Encapsulated in your brittle shell,
like the welcome oasis in the arid desert.
Letting no-one, nothing, in;
Not even the warmth of my love.

Dare I break through your defenses?
Enough, at least to enter the sphere
and hold you there, suspended,
surrounded by the vastness of my love.
And safe, at last, within my grasp.

LESSONS

From time immemorial, Nature has been.
Relying on Powers and not upon Men.
But Mankind has taken this gift he was giv’n,
Used it unwisely, Mother Nature’s been riv’n.
In uncaring fashion of use and abuse,
Man has done harm, not caring we'll lose
The beauty and peace of the forest and trees,
The grace of the deer, and the sound of the bees.
Already in death throes, this world needs a boon.
If it is to happen, it must happen soon.
Behold, above waters, what is it we see?
A new world is shining, with one single tree.
The hand that is holding this precious new world
Is opening slowly, the fingers still curled
Around this pure gem, protecting it yet,
Deciding if Man is worth the new debt.
Has Man learned a lesson? To love and to care
For the awesome new world? Once he is there
Hatred will cease and a new time begin,
If Mother Nature will let Mankind in.
A time for all humans to trust and to give
Of themselves so that all will continue to live.
For Beauty is delicate, fragile and frail.
She has tried to teach Man, and still he has failed
To understand meanings, deep and profound,
Of living with Nature, not tearing her down.
If this new chance is given, then all eyes must see,
This is given in trust, not for you or for me,
But for children unborn.  Maybe they will do more
To help Mother Nature.  They will know that their chore
Is to keep her pristine, not polluted and raped,
Her wonders unmarred, and gifts to be safe.

NATURES PLAN

Was not a ghost found naught at night!
Twas a spirit before the land, so quite.
Protected from the yet furious beast.
Spat into rivers for an infinite feast.

While amongst the calm opened sea.
Encased in time was lifes' only plea.
Victim of the dues never paid.
Separation of hopes became delayed.

Floating into the silvery mist.
Worlds away from natures kiss.
Approaching upon this hand of pure gold.
Miraculous stories could then be foretold.

Capturing freedom through fingers breath.
Contained within palms without death.
Sweet victory of peace and rivalries.
Held against treasured infancy.

THE SPHERE

Inside our little world
Surrounded and protected
Live our lives day to day
Going undetected

Gentle caress of her hand
Moving ever slowly
Beside the trees we stand
Rocks laying lowly

A perfect world
Inside the little sphere
Quietly growing
Never a worry here?

Though there is pain
Of the outside world
Can not it reach in?
The little world in here

Breaking free
Out of the sphere
Release the pain
Freedom is here

LIFE'S TEARS

This tear that I hold in the palm of my hand
represents the feelings of all woman and man.
Each moment of joy that tugs at the heart,
so overwhelming as to make the tears start.
Some instance of pain that through body rips,
watering eyes show the depth of it.
Emotional pain our hearts come to feel,
salty the tears to show that it's real.
Forever compelled, our emotions so clear
when our face shows to all, a fallen tear.

HIS LOVING HAND

in HIS hand he holds
all my hopes and dreams
my life is a single tree
a measure of faith this seed was
and now tenderly and carefully
He  has nurtured it
tended  it
pruned it
you cannot see it  grow
until one day  suddenly you
look back and see
hey look there
wow how about that
attitudes are different
behaviors have changed
its all so amazing
and wonderful
and safe and warm
ill always be in HIS loving hand.....

HIS HAND

Metallic hand of love
holds the tree of life
never to let it pass away
all circled in glass
protected from harms way
the world surrounds it
blind to its purpose
the end is near for all to see
but held in his hand can only be
a new beginning

SOOTHING WATERS

Be kind, oh ye fate, holding hearts of pain,
do not forsake us, as often is your fame,
we realize, our passion is, entombed within ourselves,
trying to release itself, ..bruised limbs and bleeding nails,

Encased inside, our spherical shell, of self imposed disgrace,
not wanting those who care, to even see our face,
lashing out at friends, and foes,
our hatred, how it flows,

Once we knew a thirst, and quenching it, it seemed,
would give us all our hopes, yes, even all we dreamed,
even though, we see loves waters, ebbing all around,
romance, in our hearts, never will be found,

Our soil of discontent, parched and dry and plain,
only fed , in sparsely, by  tears, we do not claim,
so please, be kind, hand of fate, and crack our orb of shame,
and dip us in love's waters, to help us ease the pain...

WORLDS WITHIN

Waters are calm and the birthing begins.
Remember, my child, all growth is within.
Living and learning, we cast off the old,
Ever evolving, new worlds to behold.
Worlds are created inside each of us,
By giving and sharing and learning to trust.
Trust in a Power much greater than you,
Begin to discover things that are new.
Worlds are within you, amazed you will find
The Good and the Bad, the Cruel and the Kind.

GOD'S TEARS

Twas a time of disorder and rampant sin,
when God shed his tears for the state we were in.
For forty days and nights, it did not cease,
therefore restoring the world to peace.

Safely he held in the palm of his hand,
two of all living plant and man.
As he placed the rainbow in the sky
began the new beginning for you and I.

ANOTHER LOOK

This place is supported by a hand I know
One that radiates a metallic glow
One that will not dump me out
And understands when I want to pout

A bubble surrounds this place of mine
Separating me from all the world's crime
The top and bottom though made of glass
Keeps "them" away from giving me sass

A place I go to relax and think
And yes sometimes to have a drink
To sit and ponder the worldly unrest
And be alone, no entertaining guest

To get wrapped up in my own deep thoughts
Sometimes thinking with whom I've fought
It's my place to just be alone
And reflect on times I was wrong

Everyone needs a place of their own
To stop and reflect how much they've grown
A place to go and study "The Book"
To review one's  life with another look

LIFE

I have saved life
the tree and the plant
the dirt and the rocks
I saved  them all
I treasure them.
nothing else have I desired as
i have this precious  bubble  of life
the tree of knowledge
of good and evil
it reminds me that man
has choices
desires
my living water quenches
but man did not choose
ME  and my ways
all i have  left now is
the first tree I made
sigh......
ashes to ashes
dust to dust
choose well now
for tomorrow may be to late......

LITTLE GLASS HEART

Sphere's of glass all about,
sea of despair, pain and doubt,
pluck me not, I bequest, leave me please,
safe from loce, you see, in these seas.

Cannot you see my heart of stone,
from past love's pain, now all alone,
the halted growth of a willow weeping,
symbol of love's wound still seeping.

Must you peer----  my world of glass,
for i did not choose to let love pass,
I loved greatly, passionately, deeply,
it was not i to take love cheaply.

My little glass world, liken my heart,
hold me softly, gently-- may shatter apart,
for if you break me now, once more,
my fertile soil, winds scatter, a distant shore.

heart of stone, sinks--- forever gone,
willow weeping, sings an angel song,
shards of glass, in a desolate sea,
love then, never again--- a part of me.

THE ORB OF BONUS

From the market of the ocean's abyss
It could disarm a simple wish.
This source is small,
yet it concerns all.
So many have searched for this item's tone.
What mysteries or secrets could be known?
It innovates the air, land, and space
to create it's events all over the place.

LIQUID LIFE

Encased in glass,
grown through the sands of time.
His hand hath caught,
peaceful dreams sublime.

Tenderly grasping,
last vestiges of light.
In His hand is held,
our final chance of life.

Fallen tears,
anoint the ocean swells.
His hand hath forsaken,
our guarded shells.

Flooding Earth,
cleansing all pain away.
His hand that holdeth,
now guides our way.

Lovingly held,
within the palm of our birth.
The hand of God reminds us,
of our place on this earth.

Crystal clear,
untainted life soon grows.
Upon His hand reaching out,
blessing us with time as we go.

Easily renounced,
if we decimate this blessed gift.
His gentle hands,
can turn upon us, powerful and swift.

Liquid life behold,
naked, in His waiting hand.
Thou shalt be forgotten,
when the hourglass, drains of sand & hellip;

OASIS OF MAN

Long before the mountains formed
they lived within the ocean
being carved by tides and held at bay
by the breath of Loves devotion

Ocean chasms, coves and caverns
being etched onto a canvas
in watery depths no being to see
for mans time is not yet

Deep within the oceans soul
small miracles are formed
with life in mind for all mankind
void of hateful notions

Aided by the tug and pull
of celestial forces splendor
the moon and sun play their part
in an orchestrated wonder

With beauty unchallenged
and secrets untold
heavens blue eyes are reflected
in a mirror of silverblue liquid

With sighs from above
the waves heave and roll
as maternal contractions prepare
to give birth.. to all nations

With a thunderous outcry of
joyful exhaltations He reaches
to cradle His creation
"Ahhhh yesss" He does sigh,

"An oasis for all of mankind"

NATURE

The silver chord that binds all life
held safely within hand
Touches every living thing
that exists within the land

It touches every living spirit
connects us all as one
From sea to shore, all that lives
from earth and to the sun

IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN

Oh my son, I must place this responsibility in your care
Now it will be for you to pass on, or open it if you dare
You see time is the true measure of where in life man stands
And that is the treasure you so boldly now hold in your hands
Its a crystal containing soil and seed from mans beginning
I tell you of all our weaknesses come from lack of its imprinting
And know that once mankind was cast out from its perfection
He was left to find his own mind, left to find his own direction
Mans last act was to save a small part of his once perfect home
And now passes it from father to son hoping someday to atone
But alas countless years later and the crystal remains sealed
Because the heart and soul of mankind has not been healed
But one day a worthy young man will again take up the quest
Purge his soul so he can stand before God and take the test
He will prove mankind is stronger than temptation, stronger than sin
Then open the crystal, and allow us to live in the garden of Eden again
