A single white star is plucked

One by one at first.

She was his vessel.
He had taught  her all he knew
and given her the heart and emotion and desire
to do  the things asked of her.
She was his chosen one She would bear

Most of those wishes were of love by far,
And were made in some special way.

Strange the mood which overtakes me,
as body trembles and eyes weep tears.
A newness, of which I'm now aware...
could I be found, when lost for years?

When from me, most all joy was striped
with devastation, fear and wonder...
The beginning of a struggling search,
while heart and soul so pondered.

My own misguidance of my steps;
choices at times unwise.
So deep within the dark abyss...
no wonder that I cried.

Each time I felt I found the path
to what would set me free,
I'd slip once more upon my way...
my memories taunting me.

Now the feel of something new,
I can not quite explain.
An openness, a walk into the light.
Can this release the pain?

Is Someone calling in a whisper,
Waiting for me to receive?
What is this overwhelming need
to fall upon my knees?

Have I been blinded so by pain,
I lost hold of His hand?
I've always felt His presence...
in my heart I understand.

Now the question plagues my mind,
on trembling knees with tears...
Were these trials I suffered
in these most recent years...

a fall, a separation, rift...
even though I felt His presence;

 So many times the nights painting brought to life dreams unseen.
 A lifetime of laughter and in this mind a perpetual natural high.
