EUPHORIA

Envision what is known
..of thy heaven
forthcoming,, beyond,
..this mortal earth.
A castle,
if I may dream,
..aloft a pristine mountain
The fantasia,
..of thy heaven
is torn,, between,,
outstretched stationary spires.
Thy mourn,, affixed
..to endless walks,, among,
its submissive towers.
Of thy own loving desires,
eternity, holds thy heaven,
..my immortality..
is a woman mourned.
She, who awaits inside,
..thy heavens dream,
inside this castles',
..chambered, stoned room.
She echo's,
..thy heavens' desires,
..to love,
..to taste,
the rich wine of life,
..thy souls' palate once knew.
Thy heart hears, yearning sounds,
..of thy heaven,
captured in each fallen tear,
..of her loneliness,
..tears..
untouched by my caress
..each one,
a halos' droplet,
..turned to a motal mist,
covering the mountains canopy,
..with a calming ,euphoria,
of her passing love.
Now my sanitary floats,
..with the pale moon.
Aloft is thy heavens dream,
..far beyond mortality
is thy desire..
....to be.

A WORLD AWAY

Time spent pondering aimlessly
..on the woes of life.
Sends me to a place secluded
..that seems a world away.

While time is no concept there
..I know there is a silence
Serene and peaceful to my soul
..removing all doubt of hope forgot.

A castle surrounded with a magic
..alas, where blossoms last.
Even with its darkness surround
..the light of hope does flash.

So when this life finds me down
..I look for that glorious time
Where all the things I fathom
..are in A World Away.

FAIRYTALE CASTLE

Fairytale castle high on mountain crest
where childhood dreams come to rest
Slightly obscured by clouds of cotton
they gather there not to be forgotten

They await us there until we recall
times in our lives the best of them all
Patiently they wait too many to number
those special moments from our slumber

Guardian of their preservation
limited only by our imagination
When we bring them back they dance with delight
the wonderment and pure joy we shared in the night

The magic and fantasy of our youthful splendor
as long as we believe they will never surrender
All the fanciful images created in our heads
while we were comfortably tucked in our beds

A fountain of youth as we drink from this cup
we will certainly grow old but we need not grow up
They will always be there for us to enjoy
safe in Fairytale castle for every girl and boy

LITTLE GIRL DREAMS

Secured by the walls of her castle
Surrounded by loved ones who cherish
What does a little girl know of reality?
When all she does is dream

Growing up happy, playful, content
Many the dreams she did dream
Cinderella she is, sans the evil steps
Waltzing in glass slippers and gown

Caught up in the arms of her Prince
Validated by soft spoken words...
Love sealed by the touch of his kiss
Oh yes!... he is ...Prince Charming

Reality serves as a poignant reminder
When the music, glass slippers and gown
Are remnants of what was in an attic
Boxed and labeled ''My Dreams''

Able bodied is she, not a master
Of the chores she's taken in stride
When asked ''Cinderella, are you happy?''
She smiles, looks away, ''I'm content.''

As a woman she welcomes the sleep
Retreating at night to her castle
She's waltzing in glass slippers and gown
And the little girl in her... dreams

WARRIORS CASTLE

My castle is high in the clouds............
On the top of a mountain, where few dare go....
Only those chosen, can find this mystic realm, I know.....
I travel by sled, that is pulled by polar bears.....
They are strong, and obey, it is our love that cares.......
They call me "Life Warrior", I fight for my clan.....
You must be pure of heart and honest in soul, or forever banned....
We have gathered in time to keep this castle from fading away.....
For even you, to hear these words, is to know this is your day......
The gathering is now soon, so beware.......
To journey with me if you do dare.......
''On bears, to the castle'' I scream......
Yes you are a chosen one, this is not a dream.....
That flickering candle inside your soul.......
Will now grow strong and burn with a glow.....
Off to the castle we now must go.....
For now you are one of us, it's time you know....
Up from the clouds you will see the castle grow....
Inside many wait, for you we all know....

OUR DREAMS

When we were young and starting out,
We built our castles in the air.
We had such lofty aspirations.
And optimistic dreams, did share.

Secluded in our private realm,
The world was there for us alone.
No worries there to get us down:
A king and queen upon our thrones.

As we grew older, suddenly
We realized we'd grown apart.
Our lofty castles tumbled down:
Shattered like our aching hearts.

With nought in common any more,
We sadly went our separate ways.
Our dreams lay broken on the floor:
An epitaph to idyllic days.

This past ten years we've been apart:
My aspirations laid to rest.
There never was another one.
How could I improve upon the best.

Then in the street the other day,
This lovely woman caught my eye.
The hazel eyes, the upturned nose:
She said the name you call me by.

I scarce believed that it was you;
We bought a coffee, had a chat.
You told me there was no-one else.
And scheming, dreaming, there we sat.

CASTLE BLUE

Turrets, towers, halls in shrouded mist
seldom by the Sun is ever kissed
though never seen by some
it calls for me to come
I, the fool, it’s call can not resist.

''Come,'' you order, ''drown within my walls''
my heart never can ignore your calls
when my world turns to blue
I always come to you
hide within your wet and misty halls.

There in Castle Blue I weep alone
live in misery the blues have sown
dwell in halls of sorrow
waiting for tomorrow
when perhaps I’ll find the blues have flown.

Castle Blue why must I come to you
why do you command the way you do
you are no fairyland
nor castle made of sand
how I loathe your sadness, Castle Blue

UNTITLED

Isolated in the mists of illusions,
Encircled with mystical conclusions,
Mornings praise and nights wonder,
One advancing, the other going under.

Fantasy and dreams,
Assembles the flawless scene,
Castles vigor and enduring will,
Timeless days, an infinity to kill,
To remain upon the endless world,
As the clouds twisted and twirled.

Surrounded with so much mystery,
Terra incognita in times history,
But the circle nevertheless turned its wheel,
And the mystic land lost its magical seal.

Once a dwelling of the powerful, Zeus,
But now, woefully out of use,
For from that mountain he took wing,
To mount olympus to reign as king.

Only when the sun does ascend,
That the clouds, without haste, descend,
Relieving it from its haunting nights,
Once again, to shine in the glorious light.

Secrets kept in the home,
Spirits dwell to protect and roam,
None have laid eyes upon it,
But most imagine, the castle is there,
When dust does pass, it falls to a stone pit,
But when morning does rise, soon stone by stone repaired.

Myths are soon deluded,
By the fact interlaced with the fiction,
Inflicting doubts and contradiction,
But many have concluded,
That it does exist, when the sun blooms to the sky,
And once again, into the mist, for the night to abide.

King Ludwig the II. of Bavaria
True story behind Cinderella's castle
With the age of 18, he became king of Bavaria
Born in 1845 to the dynasty of the Wittelsbacher
After a lost war to Prussia Ludwig's life changed for the worst
Increasingly he became disillusioned and more eccentric.
He lost all interest in politics.
Ludwig always loved the theater and music,
especially Richard Wagner's operas
French King Louis XIV became Ludwig's inspiration:
his dream of absolute rule.
He built three castles - Linderhof, Neuschwanstein,
and Herrenchiemsee - at stupendous expense.
14 master carpenters completed the woodcarvings
in the King's bedroom in 4 years.
The turrets and mock-medievulism style range from
Byzantine through Romanesque to Gothic.
Linderhof, the only one to be completed, was the king's favorite.
But his extravagance, homosexuality and near or actual insanity worried
the Bavarian government.
Ludwig was certified insane in his bedroom at Neuschwanstein and,
a few days later,
on 13 June 1886 he and his physician were found drowned in the
Lake Starnberg
His dreamcastle was only one third completed.
It has never been ascertained whether this was an
accident, murder-suicide or
an assassination.
He was 41 years old.
When Walt Disney visited, he was so fascinated with the charming castle
That he rebuild a replica for Cinderella
This can be seen at Disney World.

NEUSCHWANSTIN CASTLE
(a sonnet)

Bavarian King Ludwig ordered built
A stately palace fit for royalty
With oppulent spires inlaid of gilt,
A monument to his supremacy.
Towering high up in the German hills,
This medieval stone structure looms large.
Constructed with all luxuries and frills,
A testament to prove Ludwig in charge.
A fairytale, he dreamed it to new heights,
Outshining all the ones that came before.
How could he ever guess what greed invites,
Beyond rich walls the doom that lay in store?
For half a year this kingdom he had crowned,
He called it home then tragically he drowned.

CASTLE WALLS

Stone walls reaching high
Like the walls around my heart
Cold, gray sadness lurks there
Many cracks from abuse.

Whistling of the winds
Calling in loneliness
Clouds surrounding to the ground
Blinding the path to happiness.

My heart like a castle
Has many chambers
Each had its own use
Now all are sealed.

Never to feel anymore hurt
Never to know happiness
Never to know love
Will it ever be opened again?

MY MANSION

In my dreams I catch a glimpse of it
The regal lines the majestic towers
Oh how magnificent my castle is.
Each new dream shows a new room or addition
The stables where the stallions
Chase and frolic with the mares
The kitchens where every imaginable
Delicacy is awaiting my next feast
So many rooms so much to see and do
This is home the place I long to be
Home with my friends and family
A place to be free and have no cares
A place to rest my weary soul when all is said and done
This is my mansion
My castle
My home in a place called heaven

.....AND I SMILE....

dreams are made in the mist covered heavens
...and we are so unaware of it
oh, how it warms me as the world travels around us
...spinning like our heads
I rush up the flights of winding stairs...
to look out at nature's buds growing
....growing as our love
unfolding with only the sweetest blossoms... so much known
...yet I smile
for today, in this very place I have cried so many heartbroken tears
I am going to see the vision I have dreamt of in my mind
...only a million times over

''Oh, Mr. Sun...help me! Can you see him?''
''Has his face emerged from the unknown place he lives?''

it seems like an eternity has passed
that I have lived inside these protective walls
the ride up and down these stairwells has been nothing
... but glorious footwork
for I have been carried in the arms of the knight
...the warrior of my world
a promise of forever being in his care has granted me sleep
...and laughter
my face I fear will break with the smile I wear
...in wait of his face...his smile
I would live a thousand heartaches over again
...to once again be standing here
in awe of the beauty I find in his heart, his soul, and unseen eyes
...and I smile...and I wait...and I love

UNDEFINED ANGUISH

Dark and eerie, vaporous night
Secluded castle, misty light
Darkened moments, deep within
Pain and suffering, longtime friend

Dismal, dreary, loneliness
Self-inflicted mournfulness
Disapproval and depression
Tainted love, in life's expression

Unacceptance, of the self
Causal factor, of ill health
Lack of joy, running out
Buried anger, BUT WHERE? I shout

TURRETS IN THE SKY

Footsteps fall with a whispered hush
mountains of insignificance upon me rush
each golden turret adorned and plush
know not my plight or painful gush

From lofty heights each window in place
heart touches glass eyes cannot face
windswept peaks rigid in space
will not move nor bend that seal my fate

A prisoner of the past and deadly eye
He kept me hidden away from the lie
cavernous stones so many times tried
still kept me wrapped
still mapped and trapped
roaming
turrets in the sky.

CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS

Looming o'er the clouds
Stands a castle so fair
Built silently over the years
No one knows it is there

A lovely maiden of golden locks
Stares upon her vast domain
Looking through tomorrow's dawn
Seeing past the drops of rain

From every window of every room
There is a different view
Of what has come to pass
And what shall be anew

Days have come and days have gone
Since she took her place up here
Alone in this higher world
But one that knows no fear

Today the day has come
That a tear slid down her cheek
A sensation she'd forgot
She could find no words to speak

She longed to reach out her hand
Offer that drawbridge of hope
To one single soul
She knew just could not cope

Life had dealt its curves
Death now all too appealing
If only she could see the rainbow
That would come eventually

The maiden finally screamed her warning
That it was not too late
But her voice no louder than a whisper
Would not prevent a dreadful fate

The lovely maiden that resides
Watched one more soul fade away
In this castle of the clouds
No fear, but sadness was felt today

CASTLE IN THE SKY

High up in the drifting clouds
our castle in the sky
Nestled on the mountain top
protecting you and I

The air so thin & cool & crisp
it chills our boiling love
To keep our feet upon the ground
and not fly too high above

From here we can view all life
yet keep the world at bay
Watch the sun rise and set
as we share our love each day

And thru the swirling, rising mists
our castle in the sky
Reaches into the heavens
that protect both you and I.

NEUANSCHWANSTIEN

König Luwig hat eine Traum,
himmlische Inspiration gehabt!
Ein Palast Anfall für einen Gott,
eine Burg in den Wolken!
Bankrupting eine Nation!
Verlieren alles!
Ewig knownl als ''verrückt ludwig''!
Aber still bleibt sein Traum
es ein Denkmal zu Torheit steht.

*translation*

King Luwig had a dream
heavenly inspiration!
a palace fit for a god,
a castle in the clouds.
bankrupting a nation!
losing everything!
forever known as ''crazy ludwig''!
but still his dream remains;
it stands
a monument to folly.

CASTLE IN THE MIST

On the shores of Scotland is where I reside
A cold exterior hides the inside
Antique designs and secret doors
Hand woven rugs on hardwood floors
Warmly lit by a chandelier
On the inside there's nothing to fear
But strangers who gaze upon my land
Shake with fright where they stand
From all the stories they have read
They think I am haunted by the dead
The mist surrounds me like a cloak
But only the bullfrogs ever croak

GRANDMA'S CASTLE

Welcome All
To Grandma's Castle
No stranger will be left with saddened face
Open door with outstretched arms
A loving smile so full of grace

Come one, Come All
To Grandma's Castle
Flintstone glasses full of wine
Crock pot full of stew
For all who enter to dine

Mustard jar upon the post
Painted in splendid pleasure
Gave the look that she desired
How simple was this treasure

In the nook,
The special drawer
Displaying make-shift toys
Children's laughter
Playing with the magic joy

When Grandma left her castle
She left a legacy of riches
For within her life,
She gave us love
Wrapped in bread ties,
and stored in butter dishes

HOME

I was invited this night,
to share a meal with him,
but never did I expect
to find a castle grim.

A haunting look
with it's foggy banks,
it's outer walls weathered
as a ship that long ago sank.

I enter the massive gate,
led through the entrance door,
down long, dark corridors of stone,
footsteps echo on marbled floors.

I pause at yet another door,
left standing, I tremble with fear.
In hesitation I reach to enter in,
knowing not just what will appear.

I step inside and am quickly amazed,
as my world is suddenly transformed.
His eyes meet mine, amidst candlelit glow,
and in the heart of his castle, I find home.

KING OF DREAMS

Fleeting dreams come to torment and seduce
Need and fantasy unite with reality
and become the blade that cuts him loose
To drift in the dark pool of damaged mentality

A castle built in beauty as a shrine
Praising the grand music of his time
Sows the seeds of tragic destruction
His doom is sealed with it's construction

Trapped and cornered by evil hearts
With lies and treachery, black and dark
They plot his end with stinging darts
That fly so true and find their mark

Mystery hides the vile and bloody stain
of dreams that beguiled and took their toll
In tangled frigid depths that chill a soul
First beauty and then the dream die in pain

CASTLE OF DREAMS

Once upon a time in the Land of Nod.
A vision of quiescence instantaneously appears.
Cradled and nestled with in a bed of white billow clouds.
A land discreetly hidden, seen only by a chosen few.
Those belonging to a secret society, of the Make Believers.

A land far above the Ugly - angry world of Nothingness.
Where the Soldiers of Pain and Loneliness - not allowed to reside.
Guarding the mote, the entrance of the Castle of Dreams.
Tic/Tock the old Croc, that was exiled from Peter Pan's Land.
Ferocious to the Uninvited, YET to the "Believers" always PURrrring!

Greeting you at the Massive front door,
the Ambassador of Goodwill,
Tiny Tim - minus his crutches,
smiling and offering to be your Castle Tour Guide.
Riding upon his thin shoulders,
Tinker Bell will be the guiding light.
Three Blind Mice lined up gallantly.
Providing the "seeing all" visionary of the Castle walls.

NOW there are no Bed Times for children,
stories then told last forever.
One can drink thirstily from the Cup of Human Kindness
forever flowing.
Twinkle Little Star playing celestial hop scotching.
AND Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are the Castle's maitre'D.
Forest Fairies appear unannounced,
taking care of every whim and need.

SunRises and SunSets - ever so breath taking.
When viewed way up in the Widow's Walk.
There you will find Little Boy Blue
flying his kite since his cows finally came home.
Giggles and whispers softly in your ear,
He has a thing for Mary Mary Quite Contrary!
Lest not we forget the resident lovers Romeo and Juliet,
Fair Maiden and the Castle's Knight.

And if your able to do Peter Pan's ''I believe - I believe'',
A permanent invite for you to arrive.
No Frowns allowed, nor ANY worries.
Pack your jammies and Teddy Bear and come inside.
The Castle for Dreamers a safe haven for the Make Believers.

CASTLES AND DREAMS

drifting in the clouds, which seem to hide
the castle of childhood dreams
wishing to explore the wonders inside
to feel the chill discover all it seems

to know the secrets stored in the walls
feel the grandness as one explores
hear the music fill the halls
visualize dancing partners on the floors

hear the whispers of a love to deny
the kingdom once ruled by king and queen
one can almost hear the princess' cry
no one understands it appears so mean

the meaning of love holds treasures inside
drifts as cumulous clouds true feelings hide

CASTLE CLUEWALL

There in the Message Mountains, Castle Cluewall stood.
Guarded by a mist of nightmares no one understood.
Links to cluewall's hemisphere never reveal him alone.
He seduce many young lasses thoughtout the city of Rome.
He deliver them only by letting them dream.
Focusing on his lust, their hearts became his beans.
He sleeps tonight to find a Irish doll.
In his mind he sets hell, yet another murderer down the hall.
Legend has it if he can't sleep, he may fall to his doom.
In his towers rings a southern bell, She knows he can't bloom

DRIFTWOOD IN YOUR EYE

You used your skills
Your knowledge and your plan
Thinking you were More than God
A petty, mortal man

Devising castles on the mounts
And pretending YOUR thought counts
More ... More ... MORE
Than vaporous clouds
Imbedded tentatively
Within the Earthen sky

Yes, Please !
Go on ! .. And tell me
Of your architectural might
Indulge the image of your Self
Within your conscious sight

Then, please !
Continue with your Mind
And tell me how WE differ
Genetic codes?
Environments’ molds?

How Dare You forge ahead
And leave US
Driftwood
In your eye !!!

FAIRYTALE LOVE

There are women who search
for the love of past centuries,
while the visions of fairy tales
dance in their memories.

A knight so romantic
with wit and with charm,
who'll hold them so safe
in enfolding arms.

He'll bow to his lady
to her hand place a kiss;
she'll swoon from his charms
like a sweet naive miss.

His life is of conquest,
be it battle or love;
but the prize is in winning
not the staying thereof.

Cast off your fairy tale
dreams of existence.
Be open to love
that is deep and consistent.

Bring to each other
a love that will last;
learning together
and forgetting the past.

Be truthful and caring
be more than best friends;
and you'll find the secret
of love that never ends.

KNOCK HIS HEAD OFF

Oh will the world ever know just how much hard work it is to be
A damsel in distress or will history even make mention of me
My room is drafty, cold and at the very top of the tallest tower
You try climbing a thousand steps a day, now that takes power
An just wearing shackles from dusk to dawn is not my plight
I have to look good doing it or for my freedom no one will fight
Just you try to be lady like, having your room way up in a cloud
When to get a passing knights attention you just have to yell out loud
Try staying mentally sharp with a keeper stinking foul, filthy and cruel
At least I don't have to diet because all they ever feed me is gruel
Look at the poor excuse for choices that my life offers, yippee
If no prince charming, it's the brute keeper or a dragon eats me
If it's the keeper then I promise I will bitch and make his life a living hell
And if it's the dragon then he will have to come a drag me out of my cell
But with luck a knight in shining armor will keep my life from going askew
And once free I'll knock his head off for taking so long coming to my rescue
