ANATOMY OF THE EFFECTS OF SCHOOL
My eyelashes are falling off
one by one and collecting
all around my ankles
in little puddles.
My brain is melting -
burning up from
too much thought -
and dripping into my heart,
making it heavy.
Saturated now with
lines from Hamlet and the
Pythagorean theorem,
my heart plunders to
my left knee
and is stuck there,
resting upon many years of
composting Bullshit.
