Big Heart Blow Hard
Buddy Dangerous will melt
he will give up what he felt
and become like everyone
just like everybody else.
Buddy Dangerous will fall
trip and stumble like you all
stand himself next to the line
and he won't feel quite so tall.
And won't it make you glad
to see him hang it up
Make him shake his head
admit he's had enough.
Can't keep going on in this life without a love
Can't keep being something that there seems to be one of.
Buddy Dangerous in self involved retreat
clinches arm in hand to numb the stinging welt
changes channels pushes gas with both his feet
gives his life and hears the snap of the seat belt.
what it means to give away the fables life
what it means to shake the grip that it holds
add another fifty years to livings' tale
make me think of what it means I'm growing old
so it's dangerous, so thank immortal thought
so it's dangerous, I banked on being bought
so experience won't shake me but I'm wrought
and I have to be a witness to the lessons that it's taught
Big heart, blow hard, can you catch me it's not hard?
Can you blow out all the flames inside my heart?
When you catch me, can you tell me what you've caught?
Will I break down or will I just break apart?
