Existence
They travelled here, through time and space, no land showed on the Earth,
They found a planet surrounded by water, and thick mist around it's girth.
No sunlight reached down through the mists, no thermals to blow it clear,
Then from out in space a weapon was fired, that made the land appear.
It split the crust beneath the waves, causing the magma to bubble and flow,
Which pushed the mountains to the sky, and caused the mist to go.
They left again, the millenniums past, life developed because of the sun,
The amino acids, had turned into an Amoeba, cell structure had begun.
When they returned, millenniums later, Dinosaurs ruled the globe,
They exploded a weapon on top of the land, and everything just froze.
Again they left, then mammals took over, till apes began to walk,
When they returned that's all apes could do, the apes they couldn't talk.
Then they altered them genetically, so apes could talk and think,
Which is why it is impossible, to find that final missing link.
Are they Gods, are they scientists, who travel around through space,
Wandering from world to world, to make their biped race.
It could be they created us, just, as an experimental test,
To them we could be mutants, or maybe we're the best.
I hope that when they return next time, we try to talk things out,
Or we, will be the dinosaurs, of that there is no doubt.
They've implanted us with the knowledge, in our DNA and genes,
Let's reach out and embrace them, they've given us the means
