UPDATED: Saturday, January 20th 2001 It is now official that TOBY BOYLE who played Bjorn and JOANNE ROWDEN who played Frida have left Bjorn Again for pastures new. We wish them both the very best. Bjorn Again have gained two new members in their shoes, they are George Hutchison (Bjorn) and Melanie Lewis (Frida). Welcome to the band! Bjorn Again have confirmed their UK Spring Tour which can be found on their Web-Site (Link Below), I will try and enter their gig lists ASAP. The band will be auditioning for new members next month to ease the pressure off the main performers such as Aileen McLaughlin (Agnetha), Robin Scott (Benny) and TJ Davis (Frida). SO watch out for new members during their gigs. Did you spot Anne Skates on PopStars? She was the singing coach. Anne has done a few gigs with Bjorn Again in the past and is a well-known backing singer and singing coach. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

During Bjorn Again's 13 years, the band have had many talented performers. When they started the band only had four main performers who stayed with the band for a long time. The original Australian performers were Gavin Charles (Bjorn), Janette Stuart (Agnetha), Dorina Morelli (Frida) & Peter Ryan (Benny). Dorina left in 1995, and the rest left in 1996 due to a despute, so the management auditioned in the UK for new members and since then the line-up has been constantly changing. | Janette Stuart and Gavin Charles are now performing in their own band called TecTonic back in Melbourne, Australia. Dorina Morelli has returned to Bjorn Again a few times to help them out when they were having teething problems with their new members but has since based herself back home in Melbourne where she stills performs regularly. Peter Ryan has also returned to Australia but is unknown what he does. In 1996 Aileen McLaughlin was cast as the new Agnetha and is still with the band now. She is a very well known backing singer and has performed with Tom Jones and Lisa Stansfield. She is originally from Glasgow in Scotland. Also Robin Scott took over the role as Benny and is still very much performing with the band. He is so energetic on stage, Bjorn Again without Robin wouldn't be the same. Here is a list of performers.... Agnetha has been played by..... JANETTE STUART, ANNE SKATES, AILEEN McLAUGHLIN, HELENE HORLYCK, DIANA EDWARDS, Frida has been played by........ DORINA MORELLI, SUSIE WEBB, TJ DAVIS, JOANNE ROWDEN, MELANIE LEWIS, SARAH FEARNLEY, THERESA TILLY. Benny has been played by...... PETER RYAN, ROBIN SCOTT, DARREN REEVES. Bjorn has been played by....... GAVIN CHARLES, MICHAEL BULGER, TOBY BOYLE, GEORGE HUTCHISON, ADRIAN MUCKLEY. There are probably many performers I have missed but all the performers have shown how talented they are because to be able to immitate one of the most popular (one off) groups in the world you have to have that something special.
