
Key Distributors and their Roles
The key players in RelEVE's distribution channels are: customer services through the phone, internet, and in person, planning and scheduling centers, sales department, accounts payable departments, the manufacturing plants, transportation of products by semi-trucks to deliver to various destinations, and distribution centers. The customer service department is responsible for the export issues and helps RelEVE to allow for a smoother operation. Planning and scheduling department offers assistance transportation the products from the plant to the distribution centers and then on to the stores. The sales department is the company's connection and PR between the company and the consumers. The sales department promotes and sells the Gynofem brand product. The accounts payable department is obviously vital because this is where the company collects the monies for their products. Without this department, the company would not have funds to continue production. The manufacturing plants for Gynofem are currently located in the US. Cost of production and cost of materials have facilitated the decision of management to relocate the plants to Canada and to use less expensive materials. The trucks deliver the products to the distribution centers where inventory is taken and stored at the where house. The stores are where consumers can go and purchase the product. Customers are reminded of the product and stores can promote the product to increase brand awareness (webcam 2002, RelEVE web-site).
