The name of Buffalo Bill is known throughout the length and breadth of the good 'ol USA as well as the world thanks to ma ever popular wild west show. Now in the course of things ah have amassed a goodly number of young fans who often send me letters and gifts such as chaws of tobaccer and stuff. Ah must apologise for not replying to these letters only Buffalo Bill is a mighty busy man what with scouting, dealing with indians and running ma show and stuff. Anyhow's here's an acrostic sent in by one 'o ma young admirers and I'd shore admire you all to look at it.

BUFFALO BILL ACROSTIC Bold as a lion, always a hero, Under hot suns or in frost below zero; Fearless in battle, tender in woe, Faithful to friend, relentless to foe; And now near by Denver, on Mount Lookout's crest, Lies peacefully sleeping in unbroken rest.... Our hero whose word was his bond.
Boys what a wonderful life he spent In daring deeds wherever he went! Long may his exploits healthily thrill! Let's take our hats off to Buffalo Bill! |
