Bournemouth Transport Ltd trading as Yellow Buses is owned by Bournemouth Borough Council.
Its subsidiaries are :-

Vintage Yellow Buses Ltd trading as Christchurch Buses.
and Dorset Travel Services Ltd which also trades as Yellow Coaches and Whippets Coaches


Yellow Buses operate stage carriage services in the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch areas. The livery is all over yellow with blue roof and skirt panels.

Christchurch Buses operate contract services to Bournemouth University, schools contracts and also undertake private hire work. The livery is all over mid blue.
(This fleet is being incorporated into the main fleet, and therefore being repainted yellow and blue.

Dorset Travel operates coach services under contract to National Express between Bournemouth / Poole and many destinations, and also EuroLines services.
The liveries are all over white with National Express or EuroLines markings.
Yellow Coaches operate coach services for excursion work and for private and contract hire. The livery is all over yellow with Yellow coaches markings.

The fleet and business of Whippets Coaches of Northbourne in Bournemouth were taken over in December 2000.

All the fleets in the Group came under direct control of Bournemouth Transport as from 1st June 2001.

The company is based at Mallard Road depot, in north Bournemouth, the garages and offices are located there.
