FIRST LOVE 
 
Ever since that time 
When we were still kids 
I thought you were cute 
Although you were quite childish 
 
You never knew what I felt 
How I felt when you smiled at me 
Once you passed by 
I felt that I'd go crazy 
 
During high school 
We talked a lot on the phone 
You even took me to the ball 
During our senior year 
 
It felt nice at first 
It even felt great 
But things change 
And many never stay the same 
 
You went away 
Coz you can't decide 
On which to choose 
On which was right 
 
I waited day and night 
For a ring, for a hi 
I quite hesitated 
And almost lost hope 
 
When finally you came back 
After all this time 
I was over-joyed 
Though you didn't know 
 
I thought that it'd stay the same 
Yet I was wrong 
I tried to bring back 
All the great memories we had 
 
But now I know 
That I don't know you that well 
Should we be together again 
Only time could tell

Danielle's Smile 
 
The first time I saw her she was wearing her brown coat 
This woman who walked through the door caught my eye 
At first I thought it would be a perfunctory setup that was going to be a joke 
When I saw her smile I thought I would die 
I have never met someone so much like me 
I have been alone inside for some time 
She even loves my dog Stanley 
She is the type that would be with me if I didn't have a dime 
This past Christmas was cold and gray 
On the outside I was cheerful and looked fine 
On the inside I could not even make it through the day 
I was fooling myself through a self-consuming bind 
I wanted someone to share the time 
I found that forcing that issue would be of no use to me 
I have pictured her type in my mind 
I had come to realize that she will just come to me 
while I thought by the Christmas tree 
Now that she is here 
I have all the energy I never had before 
Her vision to me is so clear 
The way she touches me makes me feel adored 
She is so gorgeous and gentle in many ways 
There is such a beautiful person on the inside 
I have come to care for through the past days 
No other can turn my head while my feelings for her glide 
Dear Danielle, I promise I will be true 
I have not been this happy in quite a while 
Now I feel as if my days will never be blue 
I will always cherish Danielle's smile

Your deep, dark eyes are bright like shining lights, 
And kissing lips are sweet like summer's fruit. 
The darkness brings in thoughts throughout the night. 
I think that Cupid's on his final shoot. 
My days of love are finally back from hate. 
You came to me and helped me out from death. 
I feared that this was really far too late, 
That there was something gone and nothing left. 
But then I found you, gave you all my love. 
I hope you know that you're the one for me. 
My heart and soul fly high and proud, like doves, 
And look upon you hoping you will see. 
My pumping heart keeps beating through and through; 
I also know---forever---I love you!

i really like her but i dont know what to say 
when im around her i act like a fool 
when in fact i think im acting cool 
she is angel this girl i know 
touched with beauty from head to toe 
if i told her i dont know what she'd do
