FRAGMENTS
.....Your eyes twinkle as though
they smile every time you glance;
They left me wondering;
Wondering throughout the day;
How come the smallest stars
reside in your eyes and there alone;
Everyday;
Sparkling to its utmost loveliness;
Angels that dwell in the sweetest
of dreams seem to know such a
presence;
And every time you speak,
They listen, breathlessly;
Same here;
By the time you set your eyes
to sleep tonight;
I'll come and visit;
With roses of deepest red;
And wine from morning dew;
And songs that I made amidst
your memory;
That serenade;
An invite to a dance;
When flowers fade;
When the wine drinks itself;
We'll dance 'till sorrows stop
weeping;
'Till the dream consumes the
night;
'Till dawn sprinkle its first
daylight;
Though hearts refuse, my wooing
ends;
You'll dream of something else;
A beautiful memory, perhaps;
'Cause I'll let go;
I have to;
Carefully I leave you;
No good-byes nor farewells;
For tomorrow is a new acquaintance;
And every night after it;
In these dreams I bring;
You'll wake up not knowing.....
I called this FRAGMENTS
because I think the poem is just a fragment
of a longer poem. I wrote it
for a girl whom I liked so much. She was
almost beside me when I made
it. It took me a minute to write and about
a million years to tell her.
