I used to wonder how someone with so many friends could feel so alone 
yet that was me 
I was engulfed by a world clouded with confusion and lies 
sighted but I could not see 
I used to feel there was no love or passion within my being 
yet I longed for a touch so tender 
I was always praying about finding the perfect love 
to which my heart I could surrender 
I used to live my life surrounded by a false sense of comfort 
yet I was drifting without direction 
I was overwhelmed by an emptiness that endangered my entire existance 
              struggling to break away from its powerful protection 
I used to be surrounded by many and desired by a few 
yet I felt deserted and unwanted 
I was only a fraction of the person that I know God had intented me to be 
the past had a hold over me and its ghosts my heart had haunted 
Now, thanks to you my baybe, the ghosts are at rest and I feel so strong 
For you have shown me the light that is inside the very depts of my soul 
Somehow, you knew it was there all along 
You changed my vision of this world by blinding me with your affection 
Then you gave so freely all that was in your heart 
And you will never know how that changed my lifes direction 
Brian, I can not express what or how much you mean to me 
You have engulfed my life with hopes and dreams of  wonderful tomorrows 
And I thank God everyday for blessing me with you, my Bay-Be

If you saw me out in public, would you say hi with a hug? 
Or would you only walk away with a smile and a shrug? 
If I met somebody else, would it break your heart? 
If you met somebody else, it'd tear my world apart. 
We live our seperate lives, in our seperate worlds, 
Yet it would make me cry to see you with other girls. 
Does it ever occur to you that we were meant to be? 
Each day I think about you and wish you were here with me. 
 
I wrote this poem about my first love, daniel. I moved away and we broke up but i still believe we were meant to be.
