                       I told him my affections  
                        I also turned him down  
                        But there are no explanations  
                       About the love I found  
 
                       The one he truly loves  
                       Doesn't know the way  
                       The way I feel about him  
                       The love I feel today  

                       Should I really tell him  
                       The feeling I have inside?  
                       Should it be kept a secret  
                       Until the day I die?  
 
                       I know no one deserves it  
                      To choose who it will be  
                      The choice between two people  
                      Your companion for destiny  
 
                      No matter what decision you make  
                      It will always be true  
                     The feeling that I have inside  
                     The love I have for you

I wish I could get my thoughts straight but your always on my mind,  
I wish I could bring back the past and change the course of time,  
Since you have gone I've sat and wondered why you've gone away,  
I've wondered why you promised me that you would always stay,  
But now you've gone and all thats left is just a memory,  
I hope that you returning is what is someday meant to be.  
 
I wrote this poem for my x-boyfriend Truman to tell him that I still  
love him.

                 If you're in trouble, I'll take a stand;

                 I'll be there through fights, even shouts.  
 
                   I've loved you always, from the start,  
                 I'll love you forever, with all my heart;  
                 If you ever want something, I'll be there,  
                 I'll do whatever it takes, to show I care.
