A simple mistake,
Broken hearts are created,
The sound is shaken,
By the teardrop that falls.
Cautiously it slips,
From the eye of a child
With a whirlwind of feelings,
Despite of it all
Feelings of love,
Never finished,
Left untold
A wish to be,
Forgiven from it all
Which can only be granted,
By the one who she loves
Love isn’t a feeling,
But a choice from above
Which has been chosen,
By this child who regrets,
All the things she did,
And faces she's met,
A commitement's what,
Love should be
Which she forgot,
So easily
She gave up so fast,
Then wondered why,
The love she once had,
Didn't survive
Sometime soon,
She's got to learn
To look deep within,
That difficult word
Love's not something,
To throw away
Love gives us the courage,
To live every day
There's a love
That Jesus shows
And our hearts
Demand it so
She's got to realize
God won't leave us
When the pressure’s
on
Or times are tough
She should step out,
And trust his power
He'll see you through,
Your darkest hour
No matter what,
Problems you've faced
God provides forgiveness,
With his grace
He will guide us,
And let us share,
Our difficult problems,
And scars that we wear
If only she knew,
What it only takes
To break the locks,
And release the gates
She tries so hard,
It doesn't seem fair
She tries to talk,
But nobody cares
She cries out aloud,
Where do I belong?"
She lets out a whisper
Then breathes out a song
She bows her head,
Says a prayer up above
"Will you forgive me?"
"Will I be loved?"
As she lifts her head,
Looks to the day
Puts her shame in a box,
And packs it away
She felt relieved,
From her distant past
But there was still someone,
She had not asked
Asked for forgiveness,
From the lies she faced
Told him her emotions,
Weren't winning any race
She wants him to understand
That she really cares
And wants to reveal,
The love that she bears
He was the one,
There all along
Singing to her,
A sweet love song
Now her eyes,
Can finally see
Him standing there,
To set her free.
But like the seasons,
Come and go
I'm finally at peace,
In God's own home
And like the river,
Meets the sea,
There has been,
A change in me.
