| Steve Walsh
will be forever honoured as the player whose goals sent City back into the
top flight of English football. Walsh scored twice in the 94 play-off final
at Wembley to sink Midlands rivals Derby County and give Leicester City
supporters Premier League football for the first time.
It is difficult to decide how best Walsh, who was loved
by the City fans for his full-bloodied commitment, will be best remembered.
Was he a coolly commanding captain or the reckless recipient of seven
red-cards between October 86 and November 92?
Foxes fans will remember him as simply a brilliant
servant to their club. Walsh made 430 appearances for City between June
86 and September 2000 scoring 62 goals
