A superbly talented, sometimes impatient
individual, Keith could usually be relied upon to deliver a tellingly
spectacular contribution to the most commonplace of games.
City fans were treated to regular displays of both his
midfield and striking abilities, among them Keith's final City goal -
when he dazzled Norwich defenders with his FAMOUS white tights.
Keith won 4 interenational caps for England and once represented
the Football League while with City
His occasional frustrations at Leicester peaked in the
infamous incident when he refused to return for the second half of a League
game against Ipswich in December 1974. Keiths last couple of seasons with
Leicester were ruined by knee injuries that sadly ended his top-class
career.
Sadly in 2002 Keith was diagnosed with Cancer. Shortly
after a fund was set up and Fellow City Legend Alan Birchnell (who lead
the appeal) along with many city fans and footballs fans in general raised
a grand total of £37,734.13. This money was put towards treatment
for Weller in Mexico
