This country is in the north-east part of the Africa. Its very big and the population is about 50 milion. The climate is warm and dry in the winter, and very hot and dry inthe summer. The main geographical features are a large desert, the River Nile, and a fertile delta at the mouth of the river. The main industies are agriculture, tourism and textiles, especially cotton. Egypt is very famous for its ancient history, for the pyramids, and for the Suez Canal - one of the most important canals in the world. The main language is Arabic, ana the main religionis Islam. The capitol city is Cairo, in the north east. |
