The role of professional and personal goals in instructional practice

One of the issues that new teachers are faced with is determining their educational philosophy and this is something that I must examine prior to my involvement in the educational system. The educational philosophy has been determined to be what I believe about how children should grow and learn and what they should learn to become productive members of society. It is the rules or principles that will guide my behavior in the school classroom. In this paper, my personal beliefs will be presented below and they will be analyzed in the context of my professional and personal goals as well as my instructional practice.
