The role of professional and personal goals in instructional practice

Conclusion In essence, I have voiced my personal beliefs and philosophies that will guide me to become an efficient and effective teacher. Considering that math is a very dry subject and some students find the subject matter difficult, I will keep in mind that teaching math will require both art and science on my part. The bottom line is that students will respond positively to teachers that are competent in their subject matter, respectful to their students and vice versa, and are efficient in classroom management. Although my personal beliefs have been formed based on my personal experiences and cognitive thought processes, I realize that my philosophies will be challenged and I may even change them as time progresses and my experiences as a teacher increases.
