Srikanth: First, I would like to thank all those who made my dreams come true. Success is what every one dreams of in life and today I am just on the first step towards success. It's exciting at the same time it reminds me of my duties and expectations. Most of all success could have not been spelt right without U. Q: How much of Srikanth do you see in the role Ilango you played in Rojakkoottam? Srikanth: Quiet a lot; when it comes to the pranks I play on my folks, it has been just the same way as in my life. I appear as a much responsible guy in the second half of the movie and on a personal level I feel I have become a more responsible person after taking up this movie. Basically you can say, I just lived the role, of Ilango I played in Rojakkoottam. Q: You are one of the cute looking heroes as of now? You definitely have a lover boy image? Do you think this would get in the way if you wanted to do a tough guy role? Or are you confident you will take it with ease like you did with the role in Rojakkottam? Srikanth: Certainly yes the movie had a lot of room for me to perform, in different mediums, both the lover boy and then rough and tough kind. So I assure I would take up different kinds of role without any specific image. In my forthcoming movies you will see both the shades. Q: Looking into your heart do you have any recently signed fifty rupees note like the one you treasured as Ilango in Rojakkootam? Srikanth: Yes, in many of my viewers heart and I have signed them. Q: How is it being thronged by fans? How are you reacting to this sudden recognition? Srikanth: Well it's exciting and thrilling but this is what every actor dreams of. If it is sudden I am enjoying it and hope to do good in the coming movies. Q: How was your working experience with your first team, team of Rojakkottam? Srikanth: It was very adventurous and we felt more like a family. Every one was so friendly that I never felt that I was working with someone whom I didn't know. They were very encouraging, especially my director who moulded me, nurtured me and supported me throughout the movie. My sincere thanks to him and the whole Rojakkottam family for standing by me in my first journey. Q: What are the other movies you are doing right now? Srikanth: I am going to do a movie with the 'Minnale' Director Gautam, one with the associate director of Rojakkottam Mr.Stanley, opposite Sneha in a film called 'April Mathathil', another with Director Saran of Gemini fame. A couple of movies will be decided in the near future. Could be working with directors like Cheran and Vasanth. Altogether five movies under my belt now. Q: It might be too early to ask this question but what is your dream role? Srikanth: Every role, which I am going to do in the coming time, can be called as one of my dream. But 'the dream role' could not be said right now because I have just started my journey. Q: There was a recent rumor about the tiff that you had with Oscar Focus Production Company which produced your debut film Rojakkoottam? How do you react to such rumors? Srikanth: As you say they were just rumors because I am doing one of my forth coming movies with Oscar Focus. As I said we are a family and no room for hard feelings. Gossips are just to be heard and not to be taken to heart, skip it. Q: Are/were you being selected for any of Vikraman's film? If you are doing so, is it true that you will not be playing the hero but a character role instead? Srikanth: I haven't been asked for any such roles but yes I hope and I dream of working with him. He is a wonderful director. I like his works a lot and it will be an honor. Hoping to work with him in the near future. Q: How was the Holi festival for you this year? Srikanth: Because of future plans regarding my career I wasn't able to celebrate the festival of colors this year but hope Holi blessed me with colorful years to come in Cinema. Q: Is direction on the cards somewhere in the distant future? Srikanth: Its time for me to groom myself as a good actor and rise to the occasion of doing wonderful roles. I would like to just live my life as an actor and only as an actor. Q: Any plan to enter Politics? Srikanth: Never thought of it and never will for sure. I would always like to be a good entertainer and that's through Cinema. Q: Happiest moment in your life? Srikanth: Best moment I think is the moment when I first stood in front of the camera and watched myself on the silver screen. Q: What does word the 'Galatta' bring to your mind? Srikanth: The word Galatta reminds me of the sound of entertainment it makes through its wonderful media if not I wouldn't have been blessed to come back again and make a lot more Galatta in with my fans. Good Luck. |
