Services

Staff:

The villa is staffed with a cook, housekeeper and gardener to ensure
your comfort while you stay with us. The cook will prepare all your
meals, and spoil you as she serves not only your meals, but snacks and
drinks on the patio. The housekeeper cleans the villa and ensures that
your surroundings are spotless. The gardener maintains the pool and
grounds.

Meals:

We recommend that you arrange the details of your meals with the
cook as soon as you arrive. Plan to provide Jamaican money for her to
purchase your groceries. (Conversion should be done at the Airport).
We will provide a list of suggested grocery items and the cost of each
item. US$25 per person per day should be sufficient.

Suggested Breakfast:

Coffee/Tea, freshly squeezed orange juice or grapefruit juice; fresh
tropical fruit platter (fruits in season); Hot or cold cereal, eggs any
style, bacon or sausage, toast with butter, marmalade or jam, or try a
typical Jamaican style breakfast of Ackee and Cod fish, Mackerel
Run-down, or Calalloo and Cod fish all served with freshly made
Johnny cakes or Bammy.

Suggested Lunch:

Fresh Jamaican patties, bun and cheese, hot dogs, hamburgers, fried
chicken or fish. All items can be purchased locally, or prepared by the
cook. Lunch should be accompanied by an ice cold D&G soda, Red
Stripe beer, or freshly made Jamaican lemonade.

Suggested Dinner:

Our cook will prepare a variety of Jamaican style dishes for you.
Suggestions include Chicken, Beef, Fish or Pork. All meals will be
served with a fresh garden salad, two hot vegetables, rice or potatoes.
Of course no Jamaican meal would be complete without a tasty,
mouthwatering, homemade Jamaican dessert. Selections include sweet
potato pudding, warm bread pudding with bananas and raisins, fresh
fruit salads with tropical fruit flavoured ice-cream or Jell-O, rum cake
or fruit cake.

Transportation:

We arrange to pick up and drop off our groups of six or more guests
on arrival/departure in Montego Bay. The cost is included. For our
couples we recommend airport buses which will transport you to Idle
Daze for approximately US$15 each.

Car rentals can be arranged in the Montego Bay airport when you
arrive.

We will recommend private taxis or mini buses for day trips; however,
the cost of all trips should be arranged with the driver/owner of these
privately owned vehicles.

Airport Tip – Talk:

· Convert some $US currency to $JA dollars for purchasing
groceries

· If you use porters for your luggage, $0.50 per bag is a
recommended tip

· If we are picking you up, look for the driver with the Idle Daze
sign as you exit the terminal building through the large glass
double doors
