Randy Couture is the 2x Heavyweight UFC champion. He is nicknamed
the natural because MMA
fighting comes so naturally to him. He first fought in the UFC in UFC
13 and took on Vitor Belfort
at UFC 15 in an extrodinary match.
He left the UFC shortly after, but returned in UFC 28 to face Kevin Randleman
for the Heavyweight title.
After Kevin, Randy Couture took on Pedro Rizzo in 2 matches that were
both classics before losing his title
to Josh Barnett. Josh was banned from the UFC because of the use of steroids
so Couture got the chance
to become 3x champion but lost to the mush bigger Ricco Rodriguez.
Recently Randy Couture moved down a weight class and faced Chuck Liddell
for the UFC Interim
Light Heavyweight Title at UFC 43 as Tito Ortiz was too scared to face Chuck.
Randy became the
only EVER fighter to win the UFC belt at 2 weight classes as well as being
the only 2x UFC Heavyweight
Champion.
