The early UFC’s were 8-Man Cage fighting Tournaments
which decided who was the toughest fighter around. The Early
UFC’s created legends in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts such
as Royce Gracie
, Dan Severn
, Mark Coleman
, Don Frye and many more. The rules are limited- no biting, no
eye gouging, so anything else goes. UFC 5 sees the introduction of
the Superfight, in addition to the 8-man tournament.
Tournaments are rated in Stars for an honest
assessment of how good a tape is.
* = very poor, no
exceptional fights
** = Maybe a lackluster tournament
with 1 or 2 good fights
*** =
Good overall tournament with exciting finishes or KO's but maybe
1 or 2 dull fights
**** = Very
good Tournament, good KO's/Submissions
5STAR = Amazing
tournament and Good Superfight. Lots of KO's and exciting fights
UFC Videos of events 1-22 and UFC 35-41
are recorded onto PAL tape from Imported Tape and are therefore
great quality.
UFC Events 23-34 are only available on PPV and therefore are PAL
PPV recorded events.The quality is still good.
