24/10/03 UFC is returning to British television with the announcement that Setanta Sport will broadcast live UFC’s 10th anniversary show, UFC 45 : Revolution. Setanta Sport airs on Sky Digital and cable and has acquired the exclusive live pay per view rights to Revolution. The event will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on 21st November 2003 and Setanta Sport will be covering the full event, live and exclusive on the night.

23/10/03 UFC 45 card is almost complete. The main event sees Matt Hughes defend his welterweight title against Frank Trigg. Ricco Rodriguez vs Pedro Rizzo looks to be a good fight and Tank Abbott returns to face Cabbage Correira in what looks to be a stand up war!!

9/10/03 Tim Sylvia, current UFC Heavyweight Champion has failed a drugs test (steroid use) and is facing the Nevada State Commision to receive his punishment (Minimum ban 6 months). The UFC now has no Lightweight, Middleweight or Heavyweight Champion!!! Frank Mir is expected to fight an as yet unamed opponent for the belt although this may now NOT take place at UFC 45 . 11/09/03 PRIDE FC BUSHIDO: THE GRACIE FAMILY VERSUS JAPAN!

Dream Stage Entertainment is proud to announce its inaugural “Bushido” show which will pit the Gracie family against a line-up of some of Japan’s elite mixed martial artists.

Under coach Royce Gracie , Team Gracie will consist of Renzo, Ryan, Rodrigo, Daniel, and Ralph.

The Japanese team has yet to be finalized. The event is scheduled for October 5th, 2003 from the Saitama Super Arena in Japan and a total of 7-8 matches overall are expected.
