Are you wondering what a William Morris graphic is doing here?
Click on it, and it will take you to part of my Ph.D thesis, which explains the connection between Morris and Wagner. (Yes, there is one.....but you won't find it unless you click on the graphic! Although there is a clue in the fact that the background is also a Morris design!)

OK, I won't keep you in suspense - William Morris wrote an epic poem , SIGURD THE VOLSUNG, which is based on the same medieval literature as the RING.And if you are interested, you can follow this up by going HERE.

Sieglinde
Congratulations! You are Sieglinde from Richard
Wagner's Die Walkure [for the uninformed, the
second opera in the Ring Cycle]. You like
incest, but that's okay, it happens in
mythology. After you run off with your twin
brother Siegmund, Wotan [or Daddy, to you] is
not pleased and orders your death. Ha! You'll
show him, give birth to the hero to come, and
ruin his relationship with his favorite
daughter. Too bad you die off-stage.

Which of my beloved post-tonal opera goddesses are you?

You Should Sing Wagner!
Your voice is PERFECT for singing Wagner! Rich,
Powerful,Dramatic! Wagner wrote for the
Dramatic, Heavy-Voiced Soprano. Roles such
as Brunnhilde and Fricka in the RING Cycle
Would suit you brilliantly. You're a
Womanly Goddess with a Voice that fills a room
and the curves to fill out that Golden Valkyrie
Corset and then some! (Bet you look really cute
with flaxen plaits and a spear too!)

You are Igraine, the mother of King Arthur. You go
with the flow, never putting yourself before
others. Igraine lived by her duty whether it
was to her crown, her husband, or her country.

Euterpe2
~Euterpe~ Your muse is Euterpe, the Giver of Pleasure.
Contrary to what I'm sure your mind has just
leapt to (get it out of the gutter!), she is
the muse of Music. Her symbol is the flute.
You like most kinds of music, and like to sing
and probably compose a little bit when you're
alone.

Which of the Nine Muses is your muse?
