Carol and God

People think that being a Christian is boring! How wrong can you be?
No one who knows me well could accuse me of being a "Bible Basher". There is a lot more to it than just quoting the King James Version verbatim. (If I have offended anyone by saying that, I am sorry!) What does being a Christian mean to me?
Well it means I always have Jesus, my Saviour to talk to, moan at, yell at even, and to thank when He puts the cause of all the moaning , yelling, and screaming right. This is not a crutch, or self delusion. It is real!!!

I know I am going to Heaven, despite my many failings in this life, and I am not afraid of dying, of death, maybe, but of dying no!

Being a Christian keeps me busy:

.

Both Derek and I have been Christians for most of our adult lives, (sometimes backslidden, but always coming back). We first met at Kings Own, the bible Class of St John's Welling, but it was not love at first sight! He thought I was just another teenybopper, and we did not meet again until a Youth Hostel Valentine party several years later.
We now attend Faversham Gospel Mission, which is an independent fellowship, and is growing, so we must be doing something right!

Testimony

Some years ago, Derek was told that his services would no longer be required at the place where he was working. We did not know where to turn, but asked some people at the Mission to pray about it. Within two days , it had become clear that we were to run our own business, and The Lord would provide the work , which He has done ever since!
Even the decision to buy the first of our two computers was taken after prayer, so otherwise we might not be on the Internet now!

This is just a short testimony. Since I started this page, I have written my whole testimony. It is not up to date, as The Lord has been doing much in my life this last year, and I have yet to write it down.

I've now done so , so if you want to be encouraged about how God can heal and minister to even the unwilling like me, then just click on the link

I've just started adding some Bible studies to my pages. They are based on teaching I have been doing with some of the church groups. This one is on John's vision of Christ in glory in Revelation1
The next two that I plan to add are A look at 1Corinthians 13 for young people
and A personal view of the Gifts of The Spirit

I've also just added something I wrote for Christmas this year.

A Carol's Christmas and also some thoughts I had about the armour of God .

As a 2002 revision, I have also added some new year thoughts for this year, not very profound, I'm afraid.

If you didn't visit it from our home page, I've also added an account of my visit to the Colorado conference

Harvest update 2001: Mainly pictures of harvest festival at the Mission this year. I am the large lady in the mauve scarf!
