These pages are in the process of a revamp, and I've only uploaded them because I promised to get Abeni's page online as soon as I could....... so..... please excuse any lack of polish. It's quite a while since I'vbe designed any pages, and these are being done in a hurry.

I'm Carol, and I'm married to Derek, and have been for 36 years. We live in Faversham, deep in rural Kent , where nothing ever happens! We run our own business , (Stonetech Limited), designing Building Services. (Heating , ventilation, air conditioning, and energy audits). If you can bear to read on after that, well!!!

My main interests outside the business are:

• my cats,
• my activites as a practising Christian,
• and family history research.

I also have a part time job to get me out of the house sometimes!

I hope eventually that this will be a "jewel" of a website, but I have some way to go! I also love eating out, (despite being a vegetarian), and travel, both in this country , and abroad. My favourite places are probably the Isle of Skye,and Luz in the Western Algarve.
As we live fairly near Ashford International Railway Station, we are also hooked on travelling by Eurostar!
We havevisited Bruges on a Eurostar trip, and some years ago we went across Europe to Prague by train, (Eurostar and Thalys to Cologne), and local train beyond. We stayed in a flat overlooking Charles Bridge. Fantastic!
Some people have asked about our travels,, so I have started a web page for them.

I am not a "crafty" person. The only craft I am moderately good at is knitting. Lately this seems to be"Teddies for Tragedies", as I seem to have no time for anything else.
I'm also an avid reader, mainly of fiction, anything, so long as it is well written. The same goes for my taste in music.

Other than that, I do most of our interior decorating.Slapping emulsion paint on a wall is a great tension reducer!

Oops. I nearly forgot our daughter Merywen! She is 32 years old, and lives with her boyfriend Syd in Nottingham, where they have just bought a house. She is a registered nurse for the mentally handicapped , and enjoys her work.

I mentioned Youth Hostelling earlier. We still go hostelling occasionally,and try to meet up with old hostelling friends at a hostel once a year.
Living in the country,( we actually live in Faversham in darkest rural Kent we can , and do, still walk and cycle , as time permits.
