Even
though the last Morris Minor was produced over 25 years ago,
and relatively few of them were ever built in the first place
(over 30 million VWs have been produced compared to only 1.6
million Minors), it has survived to this day in quite astounding
numbers, and in some pretty far flung corners of the world.
How
did the Minor manage this?
It's
largely thanks to resourceful owners grafting foreign parts
onto their Minors when original parts weren't available, and
to those who bought their Minor on limited funds and have
made and fitted cheap 'performance' modifications. It's these
grafts, bodges and hack-jobs that have evolved into tried
and tested Minor Modifications. They allow the Minor to continue
to be used as reliable daily transport, in a fast-paced, hectic
world of motorways and roundabouts. A world that simply didn't
exist when the Minor was first designed. A suitably modified
Minor is still capable of mixing it with the rest.
Whatever
your situation, be it a London commuter, a taxi-driver in
India, or a sales-rep in New Zealand, there's a Minor Modification
that will suit you and keep you driving your favourite little
car for many years yet.
