Newcastle Walking Tours are for you to enjoy. We will continuously improve our site together with your help. In the future further walks around Newcastle will be added. Then we intend to go to all the surrounding Villages, Cities and Towns in the North East to add more walks.
The best way to see the living City of Newcastle is to walk its streets, many of which you will find are safely closed off to traffic.
The Centre of the City around which the majority of these walks are situated is less than a mile in diameter. Making Exploring the interesting, Historic Streets enjoyable, relatively easy and relaxing. Except for the steep slopes to and from the River (a base for one of the Walks). However like all the walks the Riverside is not to be missed. In common with the rest of the City it is Historic picturesque and very interesting.
So to fully appreciate what the area has to offer you. To experience the atmosphere and the many hidden secrets of this Vibrant City first hand.

Newcastle-upon Tyne

Newcastle lies on the Tyne River 9 miles inland from the North Sea on the North East Coast of England.
The City was built upon a series of Hills with small burns leading to the river. Features, that have for the most part, been covered over as the City has ‘developed’. Such features have helped to shape the cities fortifications and defences over the centuries. Today they contribute to the varied graded walks
set out on this site .
