MALCOLM
FINLAYSON, Goalkeeper A Scot from Alexandria, near the
southern shore of Loch Lomond, Finlayson took the high road into English
football with Millwall, with whom he had conspicuous success before going
to Molineux. Quiet and
reserved off the field, he is fearless and commanding in action.

GEORGE
SHOWELL, Right Back Born at Bilston, in
Staffordshire, Showell joined Wolves from school. For a long time he lived
in the shadow of Billy Wright, England's " centenarian "
international, and made his way into the Wanderers' first eleven at centre
half when Wright retired. Filled
the full back berth in the semi-final against Aston Villa.

HARRIS, Left Back An England under-23 international,
Harris is another Staffordshire product, hailing from Claverley.
A sound tackier, and also excels at recovery.

CLAMP, Right Half Tall and commanding, a fearless
tackier, former England Schoolboy international Clamp who has four full
caps for England, was born at Coalville, in Leicestershire. Height 5 ft. 11

BILL
SLATER, Centre Half (Captain) Born at
Clitheroe, Lancashire, Slater saw service with Blackpool and Brentford
before joining Wolves, while still an amateur, jn 1952.
This is his second Cup Final visit to Wembley, for he was a member
of Blackpool's 1951 side beaten by Newcastle United. Before he
became a professional in the 1953-54 season, he played for England amateur
sides on numerous occasions, and is also a fuH international. Height 6

RON
FLOWERS, Left Half A Yorkshireman from Edington,
this stylish, attacking half-back joined Wolves from a junior club, Wath
Wanderers. Has been honoured with under-23 and full international
recognition for England. Height

GERRARD
MANNION, Outside Right The youngest player in
the side, Mannion, who was born at Newton-le-Willows, had his F.A. Cup
baptism in the semi-final against Aston Villa, his first appearance in the
senior side this season. An
England youth international, he joined Wolves' ground staff in 1957.

BOBBY
MASON, Inside Right A clever ball player and a.
shrewd tactician. Mason does a lot of unobtrusive scheming, but is a good
marksman, too, as some of his important goals on the way to Wembley
indicate. A native ofTipton,
Staffordshire, he went to Molineux in 1953. Height 5 ft. 7in, weight 10 st.

JIMMY
MURRAY, Centre Forward A schoolboy companion of his
inside partner. Peter Broadbent, Murray, tall and angular, was born at
Elvington, near Dover. Went to Wolves as a ground staff boy, and signed
professional in 1953.

PETER
BROADBENT, Inside Left Dover-born, he began his
professional career with Brentford, and joined Wanderers for a big fee in
1951. An England World Cup
player, he has been on almost constant call for several seasons.

NORMAN
DEELEY, Outside Left Capped at wing-half as a
schoolboy, his lack of inches eventually made him settle down as a winger.
A native of Wednesbury, Staffordshire, he joined Wolves after his
schoolboy successes in 1948, and has retained possession of his place,
despite the fact that his club signed two international wingers, Harry
Hooper and Jackie Henderson—and parted with them—during his tenure.
Scored the semi-final goal which assured Wolves' appearance here today.

HORNE, Outside Left A South African from Durban.
Was prominent for local club before Wolves snapped him up in 1956. A fast,
goal scoring winger. Became a regular first team player this season. |

STUART, Full Back A South African from
Johannesburg, Stuart was given the club captaincy when Billy Wright
retired. Subsequently lost
his place to George Showell. Height

BARRY
STOBART, Centre Forward A professional
since 1955, Stobart recently completed his National Service in the R.A:F.,
and earned his place in the senior side only a few weeks ago. A native of
