Hobbies.
As we both have lost most of our toys we seem to focusing mainly on Mountain biking. This does have a number of beneficial side effects. The best is it helps us avoid using the Tubes which are both slow ,very crowded and very hot. A normal tube ride that takes about an hour can be done in around 15-25 mins on the bike. The difference is even more exaggerated in central London.
We have found a couple of places to ride that offer virtually unlimited trails and trail types. Our favorite is around Dorking which is south of London and ends up being around 45 mins train ride (£6.70 return) from home. There are a number of hills (Box and Leith Hill) that offer heaps of technical and fast single tracks as well as buckets of mud when things start getting damp. Another great location is around Hampstead Heath which is a great park in central London. It is very big and placed on a hill and will receive out utmost attention once things start getting darker and our new bright lights get setup.
