The Phoenix ArtsEducation Trust was created with some very distinct goals in mind.

We want to utilise the vast wealth of artistic and technical talent currently going to waste completely unaided and unheralded in the UK, while simultaneously underpinning the education system by working on texts being studied at examination level.

In seeking working partnerships with existing theatres, and by creating usable performance spaces of our own in areas where none suitable exist, we will be making available faciities that will be both educational and enjoyable to the general public, and a way back into the arena for those who for what ever reason have not found their break, or have found themselves at a dead end.

More recently we have found ourselves broaching new arenas as allied arts have come to play an important part in what we do; so that now as well as theatre and live performance and entertainment, we also work in the areas of graphics and design, audio, and television and film.

There are no profit takers in this arena. All of our plans will be put into action by the Phoenix Media Arts Group, and every penny of profit they make will be put back into the drive to make quality productions that are available to all. And our funding goals are quite simple as well. We will seek from funding agencies and comercial sponsors the finance necessary to carry out our work, and will reduce the costs of tickets to schools and colleges accordingly so that should this combination of funding and sponsorship meet the costs of staging our productions, we will make tickets available to students free of charge. Ultimately it is our aim to see such schemes operating across the country, with the final goal of having every GCSE and A Level student of literature or drama able to see the work they are studying as they are studying it, while simultaneously offering those seeking employment within the arts fields for which they will have been trained a way back in.

We have many more plans and ideas that we will be seeking to put into effect over the coming months and years, and hope that everyone around us will help in whatever way they can, financially, practically, or just supportively, so that those plans can come to fruition and everyone can benefit from and enjoy the work of some of the worlds finest performance artists and technicians.
