Welcome to the era that taste and style forgot. In so many ways the complete antithesis of the sixties, the seventies for most was about cutting loose and having fun. Baffled and perplexed by the sociological and theological questons of the last few years, the only answer it seemed was to become more and more outrageous, wild, raucous and free. Disco arrived in a shimmer of sequins and a flash of coloured lights and the world embraced its' gaudiness like a flock of rabid magpies, determined to have all the fun and to revel in all the glamour that the music promised. Most of them haven't stopped dancing yet. |
