
In this particular problem, I want to develop the estimated regression equation that can be used to predict the number of household exposures given the number of times the ad was aired to the public. The estimated regression equation is Y = -8.55266 + 7.714908 X. I conducted a regression analysis using the Minitab program to determine any outliers and/or influential observations were present. I found that in observation 1 (see chart below) which states that Sears aired their ad 95 times reaching household exposure of 758.8 denotes an observation with a large standardized residual.
