SUBJECT: Book Review
1. The purpose of this paper is to discuss my reaction to and opinion of the book entitled, Company Commander, in relation to my understanding and beliefs on military leadership. The author, Charles MacDonald, was the Captain of a proud and valiant regiment involved in the crucial 1944 Battle of the Bulge, which was the last gasp effort by the Germans to break through the Allied front in the West during WWII. I will attempt to delineate my ideas through examples given in the text as well as by drawing on my own experience and knowledge.
