Restaurants and BarsThe Codfather, is a British owned restaurant serving some of the best fish and chips on Majorca. If you telephone through your order in advance it will be ready when you arrive, to eat in or take away.Don Corleone is excellent value for pizza and pasta dishes, and also has great views of the seafront. C'an Pep has a friendly local atmosphere and serves traditional Mallorquin dishes. The set menu changes daily and is very good value. Corb Mari on the Pine Walk offers excellent steak and fish dishes, along with lovely views of the sea. At the weekends, it's popular with the mayor of Palma and other VIPs. Nico's is a trendy Tex Mex restaurant just off the Pine Walk, serving burgers, tacos and strawberry daiquiris all at reasonable prices. La Fortalesa is a popular local restaurant, serving traditional Majorcan tapas like frito mallorquin and snails, as well as a delicious pa amb oli, slices of thick bread topped with ham. La Lenja des Pescador is the restaurant beside the yacht club on the harbour and it's the best place for that special evening out. Grilled fish and lobster are the specialities here, but there's also an interesting range of meat dishes. Kashmir is the Indian restaurant on the market square, and it makes a change from paella and roast chicken. Try their king prawns with tomato and green pepper. El Casinet on the Pine Walk is a great place to hang out with the young locals. Na Ruixa is an elegant restaurant, set just back from the Pine Walk, and it's typical of the 'new Majorcan' style of cooking, providing a fresh twist on traditional recipes. Rumbo is a cosmopolitan cafe bar that appeals to locals and tourists alike, serving everything from Spanish tapas to English breakfasts. There's often live music in the evenings here. Coconuts is a trendy bar behind the Pine Walk, which specialises in cocktails. Mulligan's is an Irish bar just off the Market Square, which serves a fabulous Guinness and has a good selection of beers. Mojito in Market Square has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with live music several times a week. Its speciality is the Cuban cocktail 'Mojito'. R Bar is modern, funky and trendy, with a lively atmosphere and good music. Stay is the restaurant next to the yacht club, and makes a great night out. Their specialities are grilled fish and lobster, but there's also a tempting range of meat dishes.
