Boa Constrictor Species Photo's These are labelled as various subspecies but it seems to me that some people call them whatever they like. (it used to be all about scale count's and authentic capture records, now if it has a red tail it's a "red tail" or even "surinam" etc.). There is far too much cross species breeding to get really accurate names. There are a few know subspecies of Boa constrictor. The definite known ones will be labelled as such. The subspecies are:
Boa.constrictor.amarali, Boa.constrictor.constrictor, Boa constrictor.imperator, Boa.constrictor.longicauda, Boa.constrictor.melanogaster, Boa.constrictor.nebulosa, Boa.constrictor.occidentalis, Boa.constrictor.orophias, Boa.constrictor.ortonii, Boa.constrictor.sabogae
