This collection of stories are the result of my desire to help others understand that Jesus is a real person who is relevant to the 20th century Australian. They are not an attempt at translation, and are written with a deep reverence for the Lord Jesus, and the authoritative nature of the Word of God.
I have set these stories in 20th century Australia. Jesus is portrayed as an Australian who is at home and relaxed about wearing an Akubra hat and mole skins. He is not a beer guzzling slob, but rather, the Son of God on a mission to reach the people of a nation who, as they approach the end of the century, are still confused as to who they really are.
It is my prayer that by reading these stories the average Aussie will come to understand some of what the real Jesus was on about and that they will discover He is real today and is able to change their life in the same way He has changed mine.
You can read about the real Jesus in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the New Testament (second half of the Bible).
