Since Carla is in the hospital having her twins, Rebecca, who works at Cheers, hires a friend of Evan Drake (Rebecca´s boss and love interest). The friend, Laurie (played by Bobbie), is to be a temporary waitress at Cheers. However, Rebecca suspects that Laurie is Mr. Drake´s mistress, and encourages Sam, who also works at Cheers, and all the regulars at the bar to question Laurie to find out if she truly is Mr. Drake´s mistress. Rebecca herself questions Laurie without finding anything out, and one day her jealousy gets the best of her. She punches Laurie just as Mr. Drake enters Cheers. When Laurie cries out "Daddy", their relationship is revealed, and Rebecca is in shock. To explain her behavior, Rebecca claims she has a 'nerve disorder' and punches Sam to prove it. When Laurie and her father leave Cheers for their lunch date, Rebecca wonders if Mr. Drake bought her story.
