Comedy Break:
About the Show:
'Comedy Break' was an ensemble television comedy show.
Bobbie Eakes in 'Comedy Break' (a Small Selection of Sketches):
Mommy Dearest
A man and a woman (played by Bobbie) are lying in bed. The woman compliments on the manīs new haircut. He is somewhat disappointed over her noticing his new haircut, because like his mom always used to say; "a good haircut is like you didnīt get any." Since the subject has already been broached, the man continues by saying that he thinks she wears too much makeup, because like his mom always used to say; "a good makeup is like you didnīt have any." The woman gets upset, and to calm her down, the man suggests that they cuddle up and have a good time. The woman turns to the man and replies angrily; "Sorry, didnīt your mommy ever tell you that a good time is like you didnīt have any!"
The Perfect Hosts
A couple (the woman played by Bobbie) is over at another coupleīs place having dinner. When they have finished their meal, the hosts proceed to charge their guests for dinner and just about everything else, including parking. The guests cannot believe this, and demand to know why the hosts are charging them. The hosts explain that it is because entertaining guests have become so expensive these days. The guests pay and angrily say goodbye for good, but not before the hosts have the opportunity to inform their guests of a barbecue they are having where you can eat as much as you like for a couple of bucks.
Refill, Please!
A couple (the woman played by Bobbie) is having coffee at another coupleīs place. The man is asking the hostess for more coffee, not because he is particularly fond of coffee or thirsty, but because this provides him with an opportunity to look at her cleavage everytime she bends over to poor him coffee. His date is wondering what is going on since he never takes a second cup of coffee at home.
