Macy and Grant's wedding was a wedding full of surprises. Grant, who designed Macy's dress, suprised Macy by presenting it to her before they headed to the ceremony. The happy couple decided to keep the wedding a secret from Macy's mother, Sally. Instead, Macy and Grant invited a close circle of friends to Insomnia, the coffee house they ran. The two sprang the surprise on Sally once she arrived. And after learning the intentions of the bride and groom, Sally positively glowed with anticipation. Prior to the ceremony, Macy sang Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" in front of the crowd. And with the secret out, Grant announced, "Everyone is cordially invited to the wedding of Macy Alexander and Grant Chambers."

Minister: Friends, you were invited here tonight for a party, a celebration. And you were not deceived, for what we are about to witness betweeen Grant and Macy is indeed a celebration of their love for each other. But it is also much more. The bond of marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by God, and should not be entered lightly, but with reverence, deliberation and after sincere reflection. And into this holy estate come Grant and Macy, now to be joined. By our presence here we not only witness and bless their union, but we also accept the responibility for encouraging them and their new relationship as husband and wife. If any of you can show just cause why they should not now lawfully be married, speak now or else forever hold your peace. Grant and Macy have selected a reading which has special meaning for them. Miss Fenmore?
Lauren: I'm reading from the book of Colossians: "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, passion, kindness, lowliness, meakness and patience. Forbearing one another, and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive. And above all these, put on love which binds everything together in perfect harmony."
Minister: Thank you, Miss Fenmore.
Grant and Macy, I will now ask you in the presence of God and these gathered here to declare your intent:
Grant, will you take this woman to be your wedded wife, will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her both in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be fateful to her for as long as you both shall live?
Grant: I will.
Minister: And Macy, will you take this man to be your wedded husband, will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be fateful to him for as long as you both shall live?
Macy: I will.
Minister: And will all of you who witness this coming together do everything in your power to uphold and care for these two and their marriage?
Guests: We will.
Minister: Grant and Macy have chosen to write their own vows to each other.
Grant: Macy, our souls are the light and the beauty that we create; you with your music and me with my designs. But tonight, we create the our greatest work of art ever that will inspire us and sustain us for the rest of our lives. From this moment forward I will be your partner, your lover and your friend, in good times or bad. I give you all that I am and all that I may become and I give myself to you exclusively and eternally.
Macy: Grant, yesterday I was one, but tonight we become so much more than two. The love I feel for you is as immeasurable as it was unexpected. You've renewed my life. And so now I join it with yours without reservation or fear because I now that this love will be our joy and our strength all the rest of our lives. From this moment forward I will be your partner, your lover and your friend in good times and in bad. I give you all that I am and all that I may become. I give you myself exclusively and eternally.
Minister: Bless oh Lord these rings, the sign of the vows by which this man and this woman have bound themselves to each other. Place the ring on her finger.
Grant: In token and in pledge of our constant faith and abiding love. With this ring I Thee wed.
Macy: In token and in pledge of our constant faith and abiding love. With this ring I Thee wed.
Minister: You have declared your vows and consent before God and this congregation. May God confirm your covenant and fill you both with grace. By the power invested in me by the state of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife. What God has joined together let no man put asunder. You may kiss your bride.
