I like board games - the chess sort. (For a big list of such games, with rules, go along to The Chess Variant Pages.) I've designed a few games of that sort myself, including "In the Bin," "Dart Chess," "Test Mini-Chess," and "Philosophers' Chess" (which won the Chess Variant Pages' 40-Square Competition). The rules for all of those can be found on the Chess Variant Pages - and many thanks to them for accepting the rules to my games. Also, I thank Fergus Duniho for programming an excellent version of "Philosophers' Chess" for Zillions-of-Games, and Jens Markmann for an earlier attempt. Both Fergus and Jens have a lot of other games for Zillions on their sites - well worth a look. The Chess Variant Pages themselves contain many Zillions games.
While I'm not associated with Zillions Development in any way, I have to say I do like the Zillions-of-Games program a lot. I don't make money off them, or if anyone buys the program, so please don't think I've made this page for personal gain. But, it does provide a very neat testbed for new games, as well as a means of playing other people's games.
For any of the games below, if you download the ZIP file, you should be able to load it into Zillions simply by unzipping it (preserving directory names) into any handy folder, then double-clicking on the ".ZRF" file. Rules are included in each game, readable via the Help/Game Description menu item in Zillions.
