As someone who has been trying to compose music, I've churned out quite a lot of material. Here's some of it. Ideally I'd put everything I'd ever written on this page, but I like to keep the best bits for "special" occasions. So, therefore, here is a combination of the weird stuff, the mediocre stuff, and the good stuff that I've done for other people. And, talking of good stuff, check out C64Audio for some of my arrangements, some of which are available on CD. Additonally, some of my other C64 arrangements can be found on remix.kwed.org (R:K:O).

The music on this page is in various formats: MIDI, MOD/XM (I recommend the free MODPlug player - and the tracker, too) and OctaMED. Some dates back to my Amiga composing days, but most is more recent.

All of this music is by and © Darren Izzard, unless otherwise stated.

Helix D. MonsterMIDI File The theme tune for Helix D. Monster. Click here for lyrics. If you would like the MP3 version of this with singing and Helix's solo, please mail me or Helix. 62Khelix.mid(Unavailable)
DarknessMIDI File A short little doodle I didn't feel like developing into a full piece. 7Kdarkness.mid(Unavailable)
D-Toons Arena ThemeMIDI File For Dennis van Koningsbruggen's other shelved game, "D-Toons Arena." This time the reason was Dennis wanted to learn 3DS Max. 58Ktoonaren.mid(Unavailable)
D-Toons Arena Alternate ThemeMIDI File Dennis preferred this theme, which is based on the same idea. I don't think it's as good as the first theme, but I am pleased with the middle with the trumpet! 70Ktoonaren-l.mid(Unavailable)
D-Toons Arena Character SelectMIDI File This was to be played while you selected your character. Same basic theme of course, but a different style. 25Ktoonaren-c.mid(Unavailable)
Garden of DreamsMIDI File A collaborative effort in conjunction with a variety of other composers on the "Rock Garden" section of Composers' Quarry. We all had to submit small "nuggets" of music into a central pool, and then each use as many nuggets as we saw fit to produce a finished composition, or "gem." This was my finished work, and it included almost all the nuggets submitted. I enjoyed this, as it allowed me to work with many different musical styles at once. Obviously, not all of this file is by me: see the "Rock Garden" pages for full credits for the nuggets. 148Kgarden.mid(Unavailable)
Werewolf ThemeMIDI File I did this for the game "Project Werewolf," which was shelved in 1999 after the programmer quit and a replacement couldn't be found. Dennis van Koningsbruggen was the project manager and graphic artist. 69Kwerewolf.mid(Unavailable)
Werewolf Game 1 (Light)MIDI File For the game "Project Werewolf." In-game music. 65Kwwgame1.mid(Unavailable)
Werewolf Game 2 (Dark)MIDI File For the game "Project Werewolf." In-game music. 95Kwwgame2.mid(Unavailable)
SedibgsdMIDI File The theme music to the old "SeDi's Homepage." 32Ksedibgsd.mid(Unavailable)
DrainingMIDI File Composed Dec 1996. 28Kdraining.mid(Unavailable)
HomeMIDI File A song from my first musical, "Artemis." I have to say that I consider the songs to be better than the musical these days. 34Khome.mid(Unavailable)
It's OverMIDI File A song from "Artemis." 38Ka-itsovr.mid(Unavailable)
Can We Believe?MIDI File A song from "Artemis." 32Ka-belive.mid(Unavailable)
Pelman 3MIDI File The main theme of "Pelman III." Depending on your soundcard, it may sound better if you play it from this site than it does in the game. 23Kpelman3.mid(Unavailable)
Pelman 3bMIDI File The secondary theme of "Pelman III." See comment above. 21Kpelman3b.mid(Unavailable)
TrumpetMIDI File I wrote this late August/early September 1997. 64Ktrumpet.mid(Unavailable)
PartyZIP Contains an OctaMED module. Again, it dates back to my Amiga days. 40Kparty.zip(Unavailable)
Zap It UpZIP Contains an OctaMED module. Another old Amiga module. Incidentally, this module relies heavily on OctaMED's synthsounds, so do ensure your player can handle them. The official OctaMEDPlayer can handle them, but some third-party player programs can't. 12Kzapitup.zip(Unavailable)
