Places to go: [Back to Main Page] [Back to Pictures]

This page contains photos I took during (and before) the second Back in Time Live event in London, on 22nd June 2001. (Go back to the pictures page for photos from the other BITLive events.)

If you recognise someone in one of these photos and their name is not mentioned in the description, mail me so I can identify them! Equally, let me know if I've misidentified someone.

Before the event: Chris unpacks the merchandise for the c64audio shop.
Before the event: Kenz pins up a poster of Bouff while Warren Pilkington helps to set up the shop.
Before the event: Kenz demonstrates the correct usage of a Bouff poster.
Before the event: Kenz warms up the retro circuits of his brain by playing some old Speccy games. Note: no joysticks allowed for those of us hard enough to be playing on Kenz's Spectrum!
Kenz had set up some screens on his Spectrum showing various pictures of Bouff and that kind of thing. This was his greeting screen for Back in Time Live.
At the front, Chris Abbott and his Dancing Brother Frank. Note that Kenz is, as ever, totally unable to resist a camera lens.
Chris's Dancing Brother opens the champagne. But who will join him in drinking it?
These people will: Bouff, her brother Simon Booth, and Kenz.
Richard Joseph and Alex Aris. Alex is wearing his signed "Axle" T-shirt. When I signed it, Alex said he didn't mind where I signed it as long as I didn't draw anything silly on his nipples. So I drew crosses and labelled them +5V and -5V.
A rather washed-out picture of Boz. Note to self: don't stand so close to people when taking their photo.
Mat Allen (the Glasses Guy in my Birmingham report, remember him?) and Chris Abbott.
Warren Pilkington reaches for the stars. Or is he changing a lightbulb?
Kenz plays "Oh No" on one of the C64s using the cute little joystick, cheered on by Warren Pilkington. On the left of the picture, Jon Hare talks to someone. If you were there, could it have been you?
Jeff Minter, who appears to have Mat Allen peeping out of his coat, talks with Pierre-Philippe Ravier. In fact, it looks more like the latter is watching Jeff's "Flossie" movie.
A new angle on Warren Pilkington.
The man in the llama-decorated coat is Llando. Yes, he was the one who offered Jeff Minter £100 in Birmingham for that very coat, but received it for free.
Left to right: Jon Hare, Nick "Orlando" Pelling, Stephen Stuttard (Mort) with glowing eyes, Alex Aris.
Steve Barrett plays on the Spectrum - judging from his expression he's not doing too well. Behind him, left to right, are Nick "Orlando" Pelling, the glowing-eyed Mort, the hair of Jon Hare, Jools and Alex Aris.
Dancing to Pete Connelly's 80's grooves, left to right: **unknown**, Paul Chapman, Kenz, Bouff, her brother Simon, **unknown**.
More dancing, left to right: **unknown**, Kenz, Simon Booth, Bouff, **unknown**, Paul Chapman, **unknown**.
Kenz struts his funky stuff alongside Simon Booth. But where did that giant hand come from?
Bouff and her brother dancing.
As she was about to leave, I asked Bouff if I could take a "proper" photo of her. She went all embarrassed and started laughing, hence this picture.
